Know your biological age, and the habits that move it. Aura turns your Apple Health data into a bio age you can actually change. It shows you what's driving that number, which of your habits are working, and what to do today. No spreadsheets, no guesswork, no ads. YOUR AGE, BROKEN DOWN See your bio age next to your Fitness, Heart and Sleep ages, built from your VO2 max, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep and activity. Every month, see what moved your bio age, and which habits line up with a younger Fitness, Heart or Sleep age. DISCOVER WHAT WORKS FOR YOU Build your protocol from a library of well-studied rituals, or add your own in one line: supplements, sauna, NSDR, morning sunlight, anything. Aura compares the days you do them with the days you don't and tells you which ones actually improve your sleep, HRV and recovery. It checks your workout days, late caffeine and late meals too. FOOD, AND WHAT IT DOES Log food in plain words, by barcode or label, or from a saved meal, free and unlimited. See calories and macros next to fiber, polyphenols, omega-3 and plants per week, and what a late dinner did to your sleep and HRV. READINESS, EVERY MORNING Aura compares last night's HRV, resting heart rate and sleep with your own baselines and tells you whether today is a day to push or a day to recover. Plus heart rate zones, weekly aerobic targets and a plan for tonight's sleep. CYCLE-AWARE If you log your periods in Apple Health, Aura can compare your HRV and resting heart rate with the same phase of your own cycles. Every adjustment is labelled, and cycle data stays on your iPhone. WHAT IF Slide more sleep, more steps or a lower resting heart rate and see how far your bio age would move. Pick the change that's worth it. AURA WRAPPED At the start of each month, the last one as a short story to share: your bio age, streak, rituals and best Discovery. And the whole year when it ends. MEET OTTO Otto, your turtle coach, uses on-device Apple Intelligence (on supported devices) to sum up your trends and recovery in plain words. EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK - Apple Watch app with complications: check your readiness, tick off rituals and log caffeine from your wrist - Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for your bio age, streak, Aura score and tonight's sleep plan - Siri and Shortcuts: "Ask Aura for my bio age", "Ask Aura if I should work out today", or log a ritual or a coffee by voice PRIVATE BY DESIGN No ads and no account. Your health data is processed on your iPhone, and optional sync uses your own private iCloud. BRING YOUR PEOPLE Invite friends with your personal code: they get 30 days of Pro free, and you earn freezes and free months of Pro. AURA PRO Pro unlocks every Discovery (food ones included) and every habit linked to your ages, a forecast of where your bio age is heading, advanced biomarker insights, Otto's personal coaching, a monthly streak repair, polyphenols, omega-3, plants per week and recipes, Pro widgets and iCloud sync. Choose monthly, yearly (with a free trial), Family for up to 6 people, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Verdict

The call

Function Health and Aura both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Aura's written reviews are positive against 62% of Function Health's. Aura also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Function Health's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating and update cadence there is nothing between them.
