Black screen

For the last few weeks, this app has been buggy. Please fix. Used to work well without issue so maybe revert back to previous version.

Improvement

This app is slowly improving over the last year. I’ve been using. It would like prompts like once a day it asking you how stressed you are how well you slept things like that that could give ongoing trends without being intrusive love that it integrate with wearables looking forward to seeing how it pulls all this data together.

Not Working...Revised

This app was great until it quit working. I open it up and it quickly just turns into a black screen that I can't do anything with.

Edit: Adjusting my rating. Customer service has been on top of it. Hopeful it will start working now.

Keeps going black

Not working at all

Love data. But glitchy app

I love the access to data. The link
S to ways you can improve is super welcome, putting your health into your own hands. However, the app often does not load and shows a black screen.

Thorough and Specific

It reminds me what I am doing well, encourages my lifestyle changes, and suggests more specific tweaks for optimal health. It also appreciates my research deep dives!

Over promise, under deliver

No meaningful healthcare interoperability. They structurally dissuade sharing information with your primary care provider.

Not Built for Women!!

I really wanted to love Function Health because the concept is great, but my experience with has been disappointing.

If you have irregular menstrual cycles, it doesn’t seem like they have a clear process for handling it. I had to repeatedly explain my situation, and instead of addressing my actual questions, I kept receiving canned responses that didn’t apply. I was passed between multiple agents, and each one seemed to respond without reading the conversation history.

My questions were about how my lab orders had changed, but I repeatedly received generic explanations about hormone testing that had nothing to do with what I was asking. For a premium membership, I expected personalized support and continuity, not to start over with every new agent.

The testing itself may be valuable, but the customer experience needs significant improvement—especially for members with irregular cycles. This common situation was clearly an after thought. A clear SOP for these cases and better continuity between support agents would make a huge difference.

Black screen

I love this app but lately I can’t get anything to load. I have to delete and redownload the app for it to work - or it’ll just show a black screen. I have the latest iOS and everything!!!

Terrible customer service

Always a pain to deal with customer service. Resolve issues before actually resolved. Often don't appear to read the messages sent. App is buggy. Website not much better. Glorified tech facade over quest lab testing - not much else. No doubt some robo reply will tell me to email somewhere without looking up the issues - which about sums them up.

App is great when it works

The good news is: the app is great when it works. However, this is the second day I have been using it and I have already had some serious problems. Twice now the app starts loading and then goes to a completely black screen- I mean black like your phone has shutdown. I tried going to the website version and my data isn’t reflected there. I have been answering medical questions for two days now and I can’t see any of my data. This is a huge disappointment in the product and if somehow my data has been lost I will be demanding my money back because this is ridiculous. I’m tired of these poorly performing apps. And why it doesn’t sync with their website is beyond me. It’s a huge disappointment because I was telling my wife yesterday how well the app works. Unfortunately I spoke too soon. I gave it three stars as an average of 1 and 5 reflecting that it is great when it works and a useless product when it doesn’t.

Response from developer

We're sorry the app isn't working as expected, a black screen is definitely not the experience we want for you. Please try uninstalling and re-downloading the app as a first step. If that doesn't resolve it, reach out at hello@functionhealth.com and our team will take a look. We're here to help get things back on track.

Love it!

I bought it and canceled it immediately. Then I bought it and keep it. I'm glad that I did it again. I'm happy with the customer service and the easy way to access to my results.

Offers hope

This app has offered me real answers traditional doctors were not willing to test for.

Not usable is you don’t have a regular period

You’re supposed to get lab work done on day 1-4 of your period. Well unfortunately you have to schedule with the very limited labs they work with and no appointments are available. To access the “concierge” team you have to wait 2 business days. Don’t use unless you have a regular period and they have a lot of labs they partner with near you.

Scheduling sucks

App freezes on schedule page repeatedly. Scheduling is highly restrictive and not transparent in terms of being able to reschedule or fit multiple draws in one day.

Great Labs and Peace of Mind

My friend referred me to this website. I was skeptical at first, but now I am a 5* fan! I received the breakdown of my bloodwork, which had never been given to me before. It has been an incredible peace of mind for me to know that my body is functioning at a biological age 12+ years younger than I am! The 27 page report done by the clinicians has been a personal reference guide to what I should be doing to stay healthy and what to look for in the following months, years. The website is like having my own personal doctor and nutritionist anytime I need it. I now know what my protocol should be of foods to eat and supplements to take. Thank you, FunctionHealth for providing the most comprehensive bloodwork I have ever had!

Connecting Hume Health Band

Wondering if the Hume Health Band will be available as a choice to connect to Function anytime soon?

Love it!

I’m very proactive in my health! “Knowledge is Power” and it gives you the ability to make changes before it’s too late. The older you get, stuff happens. I’m so grateful for this app, and am telling everyone about it. I’ve learned so much.

Don’t be fooled

This isn’t a health app, it’s a marketing scheme to upsale once you get the upfront information. 22min tests cost $899. The 2nd labs they run are a fraction of what they test for the first time which defeats the whole point. So you’re almost forced to pay the ridiculous upsale price because if you don’t the first labs are basically useless. All of the doctors and professionals that have attached their name to this app should be ashamed. Completely taking advantage of people who are trying to take their health into their own hands. Another reason western med and doctors have lost all trust of the American people. Throughly disappointed

False advertising

Schedule instantly really means pay $500 to email a concierge to help you find an appointment and being told your options are to schedule a month out or wait a few hours as a walk in hopes someone no shows an appointment.
