Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Aiper at 4.1 against AromaPlan's 3.4. AromaPlan's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 47%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Aiper holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 267 and 655 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Aiper's written reviews are positive against 68% of AromaPlan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Aiper ships an update every 3 weeks, AromaPlan every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
