Ballistics Bridge is the essential mobile companion for South African firearm owners — bringing together compliance management, precision shooting tools, and field-ready ballistics calculations in one seamless experience. PURPOSE-BUILT FOR SOUTH AFRICAN FIREARM OWNERS Managing firearms in South Africa means navigating the Firearms Control Act, keeping competency certificates current, tracking SAPS application timelines, and ensuring every license is renewed before it lapses. Whether you're a first-time applicant waiting on a SAPS decision or a seasoned shooter with a growing collection, Ballistics Bridge keeps all your documentation organised, secure, and accessible — even off the grid. DIGITAL LICENSE & COMPETENCY MANAGEMENT Store firearm licenses digitally with front and back photos, serial numbers, and expiry dates. The app tracks pending applications by reference number alone, automatically converting them to full records once granted. Competency certificates are managed the same way — synced bidirectionally with secure cloud storage. Expiry alerts give advance warning before renewal deadlines so nothing slips through the cracks. SAPS APPLICATION STATUS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS No more queuing at a SAPS counter just to check progress. Ballistics Bridge connects directly to SAPS status checks and surfaces the full history of each application in a clean timeline — saving time and frustration during what is often an opaque and lengthy process. OFFLINE-FIRST, ALWAYS AVAILABLE Your data lives locally first. The app works fully offline — review licenses, check expiry dates, and run ballistics calculations without any signal. When connectivity returns, changes sync silently to the cloud. Conflict resolution is automatic so you never lose data, whether in a remote hunting camp or a basement range with no Wi-Fi. PROFESSIONAL-GRADE SHOOTING TOOLS Zeroing Assistant — input your Point of Impact offset, select your scope's click unit (MOA or MIL/MRAD), and instantly get the exact number of clicks and direction to dial on elevation and windage. No mental arithmetic, no guesswork. Ballistics Calculator — a validated point-mass drag model that accepts muzzle velocity, ballistic coefficient, sight height, zero range, and target distance, then outputs elevation and windage corrections, time of flight, impact velocity, drop, wind drift, and a full trajectory table. Field Adjustment Tool — convert an observed shot group offset at distance directly into scope clicks. Supports linear input (mm, cm, inches, yards) and angular units (MOA, MIL) for every scenario from range session to field confirmation zero. SECURITY YOU CAN TRUST Ballistics Bridge protects your records with biometric authentication — Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint — so only you can access your data. No plaintext passwords are ever stored. JWT sessions are held in the device's secure enclave, every state-changing request is CSRF-protected, and a full two-factor authentication and rate-limited login flow secures your account at every layer. BUILT FOR THE LONG HAUL Available on iOS and Android via Expo React Native. A freemium licensing model lets you explore core features immediately, with premium tiers unlocking expanded storage for larger collections. Regular updates and a robust deployment pipeline ensure the app keeps pace with regulatory changes and community needs. ONE APP. EVERY RANGE. ANY CONDITION. From the SAPS office to the 500-metre firing line, Ballistics Bridge is the tool South African shooters have been waiting for — reliable documentation management and precision shooting assistance, always in your pocket.
