Sonidata: UCS Field Recorder is built to help you maintain a professional audio archive on the go. Ensure every sound you capture is perfectly tagged, organized, and ready for high-level indexing the moment you get back to the studio. Designed for sound designers, field recordists, and audio professionals who demand precision from their mobile workflow. PROFESSIONAL CAPTURE & ROUTING Turn your device into a professional field recorder. With the newly introduced Audio Device Manager, select discrete input and output routing, apply hardware-aware format settings (48 khz 24 bit internally, and up to 192 kHz / 32-bit float, depending on the connected devices), and control input gain digitally or via your hardware interface. Monitor audio levels with the Record Ready monitor mode. Capture True Stereo or decode M/S microphones on the fly with per-mic persistence. UCS METADATA ON THE GO Say goodbye to renaming files back at the studio. Sonidata implements the industry-standard Universal Category System (UCS v8.2). Assign Category, FX Name, Vendor, Creator, Mic Perspective, Location, and more right from the field. Use the Voice Slate (Speech-to-Text) to dictate metadata hands-free, or create custom FX Name Templates to speed up repetitive tagging. POWERFUL BATCH EDITING & SYNC Manage massive recording sessions with ease. The new Calendar Filter Bar lets you drill down by date, while batch delete and bulk metadata pasting streamline your workflow. When you’re ready, your sessions—including embedded artwork and metadata—seamlessly sync to iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or Dropbox. SEAMLESS DESKTOP INTEGRATION Export comprehensive 29-column CSV reports fully compatible with industry-standard sound library management software. Use the companion desktop app, Sonidata Embed, to batch edit metadata and re-embed it into your WAV files without transcoding. KEY FEATURES • Broadcast-Standard Recording: 48 kHz 24-bit internally, anduUp to 192 kHz / 32-bit float WAV. • UCS v8.2 Compliant: Full metadata tagging (Category, FxName, Description, Mic Perspective, etc.). • Advanced Audio Routing: Discrete input/output selection, external interface support, and M/S decoding. • Visual Feedback: Live waveform-style stereo metering, colorized waveforms, and ActivityKit lock-screen tracking. • Cloud Sync: Automatic syncing via iCloud, Google Drive, and Dropbox. • External File Management: Import, edit, and organize audio recorded on other devices. • Seamless Export: ZIP exports grouped by date, paired with rich 29-column metadata CSVs. • Siri & Shortcuts Integration: Control recording hands-free via App Intents, Action Button, or Back Tap. • Secure & Private: All transcription and processing happen on-device. Manage external files, create custom FX Name Presets, export in bulk, and unlock the Sonidata Embed desktop companion app for seamless macOS integration via secure offline pairing.
GRDelay
This audio effect plugin creates unique sound textures by generating up to 16 stereo 'grains' from delayed input audio. It offers randomization of grain shape, delay time, and pitch-shifting for experimental sound design.
- Granular synthesis-based delay
- Up to 16 stereo grains
- Randomized grain shape and delay time
- Pitch-shifting and cascading grains
- Standalone and AUv3 compatible

GRDelay - Granular Random Delay Plugin (AUv3) GRDelay is an audio effect plugin that can run standalone, or in any AU compatible host application such as Logic Pro or GarageBand. Overview - What's a Granular Random Delay? GRDelay is a randomised delay effect that uses a similar approach to granular synthesis to generate sound. In GRDelay, up to 16 "grains" of stereo sound are created in realtime from delayed copies of the input audio, with control over the grain shape and delay time. There are also options to pitch-shift grains up an octave, and cascade the output from one grain into another. Shape, delay time and pitch-shifting can all be randomised to create some really unusual effects and textures. While GRDelay can produce sounds similar to existing pitch-shifted delays and even shimmer effects, the design is totally original, and to the best of my knowledge, quite sonically unique. I think GRDelay is really one of those effects you need to hear to believe, so please do check out the reviews and demos online. Please note, because there's a "whole lot of random going on" in GRDelay, it's not a good choice if you want a delay that can do tempo / clock-sync'd rhythmic delays. Perhaps take a look at PolyDelay which offers tempo sync to host and musical note length delay times. For more info and support please visit: www.waverley-instruments.com/robjackson
