GymBook ・ Strength Training also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 23 months) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 1). Workout Planner's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. GymBook ・ Strength Training sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Workout Planner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Workout Planner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GymBook ・ Strength Training has 2.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of GymBook ・ Strength Training's written reviews are positive against 0% of Workout Planner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
