As a daily Notion user, I found the Notion mobile app to be too cluttered and overly complicated for simple tasks management. It is also severely lacking in widget integration which is a crucial part of the iOS experience. I have tried Todoist and TickTick with Zapier, but they lacked support for all the features I needed, AND THERE IS A SUBSCRIPTION?! I wanted a simpler, more integrated solution. That's why I built SyncTasks. Due to popular demand, I've added the option to use SyncTasks as a standalone to-do app without syncing with Notion. This can be especially useful for quickly tracking tasks like grocery lists and other on-the-go needs. Key Features of SyncTasks: Notion Integration: Two-way sync with your Notion databases. This feature also allows you to sync databases from multiple Notion Workspaces. Apple Reminders Integration: Two-way sync with your Apple Reminders. Minimal Task List Widget: My favorite feature! Inspired by dumb phones, this minimalist widget blends seamlessly with your wallpaper to create a distraction-free interface reminiscent of a dumb phone. Your home screen will display only your tasks, with no other distractions, so you can stay focused and get as much done as possible. Stay Organized: I've decided to go back to basics and stick with the trusty folder system to help you group your tasks and stay organized. You can also quickly filter and search through your tasks to find exactly what you need. Exclusive Membership Card: I absolutely love the feeling of getting something unique for myself. So, I've added this totally unnecessary but fun feature! When you first get your card after upgrading to premium (it's a one-time purchase, by the way—because I absolutely hate subscriptions), you can drag and shake it to unlock a series of randomized colors with different gradients on the card. This means your card will be unique to you and you alone. I know it's not essential, but it's kind of exciting, right? No ads. No tracking. Transparent update: Nobody likes being tracked, and I'm no exception. I've also included a Release Notes section in the app where I'll share all the new features, major bug fixes, and improvements with you. This keeps the update process as informative and transparent as possible. I'm doing this because I genuinely want to build and grow alongside my users. If you've encountered a similar issue with the Notion mobile app and are looking for a solution, want a way to stay focused and get things done, or just simply want to hang out, install SyncTasks and join me on this journey. I'll see you on the other side! Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

TaskLock is a to-do list, habit tracker and calendar for iPhone and Apple Watch with a built-in app blocker. Choose the apps that distract you, and they stay locked until you finish the task, complete the habit or the event ends. No timer to wait out, no "ignore limit" button: you stay focused until the work is actually done. HOW IT WORKS 1. Add a task, habit or event, or sync your Apple Calendar. 2. Pick the apps, categories or websites to lock: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, games, anything you choose. 3. Opening a locked app shows a shield with the tasks still keeping it locked. 4. Check the task off on your iPhone or Apple Watch and the apps unlock. Locks are optional. Without one, TaskLock is a simple, fast to-do list. APP LOCKING • Lock until a task or habit is done, or for the length of an event, such as "Study" from 2 to 4 pm. • Lock single apps, whole categories like Social or Games, and websites. • Lock groups: save sets like "Social media" and assign them in one tap. • Start a lock later in the day. • Stay honest: a confirmation countdown before completing or removing a lock, and a daily limit on lock changes. Set it to "no changes" for strict mode. TASKS • One daily card with today's tasks, events and habits, other days a swipe away. • Timeline of everything past and upcoming, with filters. • Move missed tasks to today in one tap. Move or copy any task to another day. • Saved task lists for things you add often. • Reminders, notes, links with previews, locations, search and Control Center quick add. HABITS • Every day, chosen weekdays or every N days, up to several times a day. • Streaks, a history strip and a progress page with rings. • Skip a day, change today only, or edit from today on while past records stay intact. • Habit lists such as "Morning routine". CALENDAR • Two-way sync with Apple Calendar, including iCloud, Google and other accounts on your iPhone. • Private calendars that live only in TaskLock. • Timed and all-day events, repeat rules from daily to custom, reminders, locations and meeting links. APPLE WATCH, WIDGETS AND LIVE ACTIVITIES • Watch app: see today's plan, add tasks and events, and check off a task to unlock apps on your iPhone. Complications and Smart Stack widgets included. • Home Screen widgets, plus Live Activities on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. DESIGN • Minimalist, one main screen. Light and dark themes, nine accent colors or your own, alternative app icons. Available in 29 languages. PRIVACY • No account, no sign-up. Your data stays on your iPhone, and the app works offline. Optional backup to your own iCloud Drive. • App blocking runs on Apple's Screen Time framework. TaskLock cannot see what you do in other apps. PRICE Free to download. The free version limits how many tasks, habits and events you can create. TaskLock Premium removes those limits. Made for students, remote workers and anyone who wants their phone to wait until the work is done. Verdict
SyncTasks and TaskLock both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of TaskLock's written reviews are positive against 69% of SyncTasks's. TaskLock also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 10 days). SyncTasks's advantage is ratings volume (355 vs 15). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. SyncTasks sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and TaskLock sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SyncTasks against 4.6 for TaskLock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SyncTasks has 355 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 69% of SyncTasks's written reviews are positive against 100% of TaskLock's.
SyncTasks ships an update every 10 days, TaskLock every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
