Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tryp.com at 100% against Kiwi.com's 18%. Tryp.com also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Kiwi.com's advantage is ratings volume (37K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Tryp.com holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kiwi.com has 37K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 18% of Kiwi.com's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tryp.com's.
Kiwi.com ships an update weekly, Tryp.com fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
