the first free screen time app for students, builders, and for people who want to choose life. the average person spends 5+ hours a day on their phone, that's because these apps were engineered to keep you hooked. Commercial was made to help anyone reclaim that life— completely free, no subscription, no paywall. The app uses ads to prevent you from using your apps, just set the amount of ads you want to watch, and suffer to use your apps (because ads actually suck). The amount of times you get your apps back for is customizable to practice discipline, and we have a christian mode for encouragement throughout the process. inside the app is everything you need to control screen time. we built it, then we made it free because it shouldn't cost money for students to study, for builders to build, or for people to spend time with the things they love. we made better features, built with more intention, & we can keep it as a free because we get paid through the ads. if you're ready to get those 5-6 hours back each day, build that project, and bring out the best version of you. get some commercials. how it works 1. pick the apps that distract you. 2. we block them. 3. to get them back, watch a few ads. 4. after your time is up, they re-lock automatically. Ads suck, we know, so thats why in this case it's actually what helps people put their phone down. features · block all your distracting apps · choose how many ads you need to watch to get them back · choose how long you get them back for · optional tappable physical card to block/unblock apps · optional schedule mode for daily blocking windows · optional christian mode for bible verses on blocked apps · optional punishment mode (haha its really funny) · dark, minimalist design who this is for · builders and creatives with big goals & dreams · students trying to reclaim their focus · anyone who reaches for their phone before getting out of bed · people who want to be more present with the life they have or discover new life · if you've said "just one more scroll" and lost an hour from me i hope you find new life on the other side of this app. privacy Commercial doesn't store your data. the apps you block live on your device through apple's screen time framework — we never see them. requirements · iphone with ios 17+ · apple screen time permission — made by viral builders. viralbuildersllc@gmail.com

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Limit at none against Commercial's shown. Limit also leads on ratings volume (273 vs 5) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Commercial's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
