Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Lockin Smart at 3.2 against AuraHome Control's 2.4. Lockin Smart also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (28 vs 9). AuraHome Control's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Lockin Smart holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 28 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of AuraHome Control's written reviews are positive against 43% of Lockin Smart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AuraHome Control ships an update every 6 months, Lockin Smart fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
