Monotasking
Read full descriptionHide full description
A minimalistic widget showing the top reminder from any of your lists. Multitasking is a lie, and there's clear evidence that focusing on, and completing a single task makes you more productive. This alternative for Apple Reminders does just that – shows your top reminder from any of your lists, so that you can focus on getting what matters done. It works in both light- and darkmode, and you can edit the widget to not show the list name if you want to push the minimalistic look to the max. Future roadmap includes: - Custom styling of fonts and colors of the widget with preview in the app - Ability to choose different lists based on your focus stat - More granular control of what information is available in the widget like due date, location, notes etc.
Daily Checklist

Routine is a private, focused checklist for the tasks you repeat—and the occasional task you need to do once. Create a task, add one or more schedules, and see the items due today in time order. Check off a task when you complete it; that checkmark applies only to that scheduled occurrence, so a repeating task is ready to complete again the next day. Each occurrence is tracked independently, so checking off one task never marks another one done. FEATURES • Schedule tasks every day, on weekdays or weekends, on selected days of the week, on specific days of the month, or just once • Add multiple times and schedules to the same task • Set multiple reminders: at the task time or 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes beforehand • See today's routine at a glance, with current and past items visually distinguished • Mark scheduled occurrences complete from the app or Home Screen widget • Add optional details to tasks • Pin important tasks, search by title or details, and sort the full task list • Pause a task without deleting it • Preview the Home Screen widget and choose its text size, how much task history to show, and whether to show descriptions • Use small, medium, large, circular, or rectangular widgets Your tasks and completion status are stored on your device. Routine is designed to stay simple, fast, and private. Verdict
Monotasking and Daily Checklist are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
