Keep a clear record of what you own—and the information your family may one day need. Estate Binder brings property, possessions, important documents, family records and personal wishes together on your iPhone or iPad. Add details at your own pace, update them as life changes, and create reference reports or password-encrypted copies when you choose. PROPERTY AND POSSESSIONS Organize real estate, vehicles, boats, equipment, collections and other assets. Add photographs, descriptions, ownership, locations, identifying details and estimated values. Record mileage or engine hours, deed references and where original paperwork is kept. PEOPLE AND OWNERSHIP Set up names for yourself, a spouse, significant other, trust, business or other owning entity. Use ownership dropdowns, select joint owners and choose a default owner for new records. FAMILY RECORDS Keep pensions, Social Security benefit information, Medicare and prescription plans, life insurance, credit card references, driver's licenses and passport details organized by person. Social Security and credit card number fields use only the last four digits. INCOMING CASH FLOW View monthly and annual income equivalents from Social Security, pensions, automatic incoming payments and other income sources. See summaries by person or household, separately from estimated estate value. Income and balances are entered manually; no bank connection is required. DOCUMENTS AND ORIGINAL LOCATIONS Import files, add photographs or scan paperwork with a supported device camera. Record where signed original wills, trusts, deeds and other documents are kept, along with safe deposit box details, key locations and optional home safe access instructions. PERSONAL WISHES AND CONTACTS Keep funeral and burial preferences, an optional obituary draft, executor information and contact details for an accountant, lawyer or investment professional. OPTIONAL FINANCIAL RECORDS Record account balances, cash and liabilities. Choose whether financial records appear in the app and whether their balances count toward estimated estate value. Included negative balances reduce the total. REPORTS AND PRIVATE SHARING Create PDF reference reports for printing or sharing. Make password-encrypted binder copies with selected contents for a spouse or for your own backup. Import copies by merging records or replacing the binder. Shared copies are manual snapshots and do not update automatically. ON-DEVICE PRIVACY Your saved binder stays on your device. Estate Binder has no cloud backend, automatic iCloud syncing, advertising, tracking or automatic AI connection. Opening your binder requires Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. Optional inventory research lets you deliberately copy a displayed text prompt for use with an AI service you choose. The app does not send it automatically. IMPORTANT BACKUP INFORMATION The saved binder is excluded from automatic device backups. Keep your own password-encrypted copy before changing devices. Forgotten file passwords cannot be recovered. Ordinary PDF reports and original documents shared separately are not password encrypted. Estate Binder is an organizational tool, not a substitute for original documents or professional appraisal, legal, tax or financial advice.
