Biostacks is a supplement tracker. It does not tell you what to take. It shows the research behind supplements, additives, and interactions, with sources, and lets you run your own experiments on your own numbers. We make no health claims. Sources are research papers and meta-analyses on PubMed, NIH fact sheets, FDA and EU regulators, and the bodies that certify and license brands. Stack Analysis and research: • Supplement and medication interactions, from NIH Office of Dietary Supplements fact sheets and PubMed studies, each with a link • Synergies between supplements, from PubMed meta-analyses • Research coverage for 18 health goals, from sleep to longevity: what the meta-analyses found and the doses they studied • Upper limit warnings and RDA coverage for vitamins and minerals, from NIH and USDA reference values, with the harm NIH lists for going over • Additives checked against FDA GRAS rules and the EU food additive regulation • Brand records: NSF, USP, Informed Sport, Kölner Liste, NZVT, and Eurofins certifications, Health Canada licences, FDA warning letters, and FDA, UK, and French recall notices • Nutrient overlaps between products Experiments: • Daily check-ins on mood, energy, sleep, and focus • Metrics: weight, sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, steps, or any custom number, with Apple Health sync • Scan a lab report, blood test, body composition, or aging report from a photo or PDF, read on your phone, never uploaded • Run an N-of-1 trial: three weeks off and three weeks on, alternating weekly. The result says whether a metric moved, or "no effect" when it did not • Experiment results appear only after enough logged days Supplement scanner and vitamin tracker: • Barcode scanner with your camera, for supplements, vitamins, pills, and medicine • Search NIH DSLD and Open Food Facts, with popular brands available offline • Enter supplements, medications, doses, and nutrients manually • Ask Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro and newer) • Use your own assistant like Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or Gemini to manage your stack with a copy-and-paste prompt Supplement schedule, pill and medication reminders: • Daily, specific weekdays, or on/off cycles like 5 days on, 2 off • Multiple times of day, from multivitamin to magnesium • Peptide tracker and peptide calculator: vial size, reconstitution, and draw volume • Dose reminders, with smart tuning when you keep logging late Dose log: • One tap per dose, mark a whole stack at once, long-press to skip and keep your streak • Progress rings, streaks, and dose logging by asking Siri • Taken, due, and upcoming groups, and a calendar with mood dots • Search, filter, notes, reorder, and dark mode • Adherence and Stack Analysis trends over 30, 90, or 365 days, with CSV export • Monthly cost per supplement and per stack, and running-low refill alerts On-device AI chat: • Review your routine, explain an ingredient, or change your stack by describing what you want • Every suggested change appears as a review you accept or reject, with undo Privacy first: • Works offline with no account • Your health data stays private, on your device • Optional backup and sync to your own iCloud • Snapshots and version history to roll back any change • Export everything as JSON or PDF, or share a stack as plain text Everyday intake tracking is free: dose logging, streaks, reminders, check-ins with trends, the library and barcode scanner, export, import, and backups. Biostacks Pro, an annual subscription with a 7-day free trial, adds Stack Analysis insights, check-in correlations, experiment results, report scanning, Apple Health metrics, historical trends, cost tracking, smart reminder tuning, cloud sync, and the on-device AI assistant. Whether you take vitamin D, omega-3, zinc, magnesium, creatine, collagen, or protein, or run a supplement stack with nootropics and peptides, Biostacks keeps the log, the research, and the experiments in one private place.
