SharedHangar is aircraft management for the people who share one. Whether you are three partners on a Bonanza, a flight club with a fleet and a waiting list, or a school running trainers and instructors, the problems are the same: who has the aeroplane on Saturday, when is the annual due, who owes what, and is anything grounded right now. SharedHangar answers all four in one place, on your phone. SCHEDULING THAT PREVENTS DOUBLE-BOOKINGS Book by the hour or the week, see the whole fleet's availability at a glance, and let the app catch conflicts before they happen. Bookings are shown in the aircraft's local time, not yours, so a member three time zones away books the same slot everyone else sees. Subscribe your phone's calendar to an aircraft and its bookings appear alongside the rest of your week. MAINTENANCE AND SQUAWKS Log maintenance with JASC codes, track a squawk from the moment it is reported to the moment it is signed off, and see immediately when something grounds the aircraft. Attach the invoice, the scan, the photo of the part. Costs can be split across members automatically. COMPLIANCE YOU CAN TRUST Annual, ELT, transponder, pitot-static, registration, the 100-hour, the oil change. SharedHangar tracks each against a calendar date, an hours interval, or both, and it recomputes from your current rule rather than from a figure frozen at the last log. An item measured on tach is judged on tach. An aircraft whose meter has not been updated since the last flight is never shown as compliant on a number nobody has read - the app says the reading is stale instead of pretending it is current. AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES Every AD the FAA publishes, matched against your aircraft by make, model, engine and propeller, back to 1941. Candidates are surfaced for you or your mechanic to triage - they are candidates for review, never a determination that an AD applies. Search the whole corpus by number, manufacturer or text, and attach anything the matcher could not find on its own. FLIGHT LOGS AND BILLING Log hobbs and tach independently, record fuel and oil, note who flew. Flight time becomes a charge at your aircraft's rate on whichever meter you bill from. Members see what they owe and pay it by card or bank transfer; the money goes to the partnership's own account, not through us. Recurring dues, instructor time and maintenance assessments all land on the same balance. FOR FLIGHT SCHOOLS AND CLUBS Instructors log ground and flight instruction against a student and their hours bill automatically at the CFI's rate. Define what a member must be endorsed for before they can book a given aircraft, and the app enforces it. Roles cover admins, partners, instructors, students, renters and mechanics, and a member can hold more than one. EVERYTHING ELSE Documents on file for the whole fleet - insurance, registration, weight and balance, the POH - with owner-only visibility where it matters. Messaging between members. Notifications for what actually needs you. An audit log of who changed what. Reports on hours, costs and utilisation. Registry lookup and airworthiness directive matching use FAA data and cover US-registered aircraft; scheduling, maintenance, logs and billing work wherever you fly.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: SharedHangar at 100% against Proton Meet's 53%. SharedHangar also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Proton Meet's advantage is ratings volume (114 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
