Soberphone is not just another app blocker. It's a real path out of screen addiction. Based on behavioral science and proven recovery methods. Goals and Guardrails. Accountability. Reflection. Live Meetings. Reward Systems. (Fun!) It's a whole process. And it can help you live your best life, free from the grip of your screens. Here's how it works: GOALS Decide what tech you struggle with and set goals for your ideal use. GUARDRAILS Choose how long to use that tech for at each open with the "Unlock" Timer. ACCOUNTABILITY Add supporters to motivate real change – they’ll be invited to check in if you go over a goal. GUIDED REFLECTION Commit to a reflection process to shine light on the deeper layers that keep you hooked - share with supporters or keep for yourself. LIVE MEETINGS CALENDAR Peer-support groups run by an outside org called ITAA. Hear from others on a similar journey, share your own experience if you'd like, and learn from people who've already transformed their tech use. REWARDS SYSTEM Watch your orb – it changes to reflect your progress. Keep it vibrant by meeting your goals each day, and unlock new orbs by collecting star points. - THE CONTEXT - There's a lot to love about our **screens** The utility, the connection, the whole world in our hands. But we're totally **hooked** Hours, weeks, and years of our lives spent unintentionally absorbed. We're not meant to face this **alone** It takes a lot more than willpower to get free. And most existing solutions miss the emotional and relational core of the issue. Healing happens in **connection** not in isolation. Decades of research on compulsion and addiction are clear on this. **Peer Support** is one of the most evidence-backed methods for breaking habits. So let's use it. No cold turkey. No dumb phones. No hyper-gamification. Just flexible support for the screen-life balance you want. ------------------------------------------ Soberphone requires an auto-renewable subscription to access its features. • Annual - $39.99/year (includes a 14-day free trial) • Monthly - $5.99/month (includes a 14-day free trial) Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. & IS YOUR IDENTITY, AND IT BELONGS TO YOU Most of what the internet knows about you was collected without asking. & starts from what the public web already says about you, lets you decide what is really you, and turns it into an &tag you control. YOUR &TAG A short name that belongs to you, like &jane. &tags are claimed through a community's & site. Once you hold one, sign in to the app with the phone number you claimed with. If you don't have one yet, the app adds you to the waitlist, and & will come back to you when &tags are given out. BUILD YOUR IDENTITY & searches the web for pages about you and asks which ones are really you. From the pages you keep, it suggests signals: small facts about you, like your work, your interests or your city. Edit them or swipe them away. Nothing changes until you accept. YOUR BIBLIOGRAPHY & finds what you've written, where you're quoted, what's been written about you and where you've been recorded, grouped by kind. Add a reference it missed, remove one that isn't yours, and ask it questions: every answer names the references behind it. YOUR COMMUNITY Join a community through its & site. Until it admits you, the app tells you your request is pending. Once you're in, ask the app about your community, answered only from what its members have chosen to publish. PUBLISH WHEN YOU'RE READY Your &tag page is a bare card until you publish. When you publish, everything on it becomes public, and the app tells you so first. Your bibliography has its own switch. Share your page by link or QR code. YOUR IDENTITY IN YOUR AI ASSISTANT Connect & to Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that speaks MCP. Each request to connect arrives on your phone, naming the assistant and what it can read, and nothing is shared until you allow it. An assistant can read your &tag but never change it. WHAT'S A SIGNAL? A small fact about you: "I prefer morning meetings", "vegetarian", "I love dogs". Together they give the people and tools in your life the shape and context of you. BUILT THIS WAY ON PURPOSE & is made by The & Company, a Public Benefit Corporation. Purpose before profit is in the charter, not the marketing. We don't sell your data and we don't run ads.
