Your workouts add up. See how far you’ve come this week—and what you can do next. MET Goals turns workouts from Apple Health into a clear weekly activity goal. Follow your progress, find a way to close the gap, and build a routine that fits your life. Whether you enjoy running, walking, cycling or a mix of activities, see your effort in one place. ONE WEEK. ONE CLEAR GOAL. A single workout tells only part of the story. Your weekly dashboard brings your activity together, showing the MET-hours you’ve accumulated and how much remains toward your target. Check in after a workout or use your progress to plan the rest of your week. YOUR WORKOUTS, AUTOMATICALLY SYNCED Keep recording workouts with Apple Watch or compatible fitness apps that save workouts to Apple Health. With your permission, MET Goals reads those workouts and brings them into your activity history—without entering the same session again. KNOW YOUR NEXT STEP Wondering how to work toward your remaining goal? See estimated walking, running and cycling durations based on the gap. Choose an activity that fits your day, whether that means a walk outside, a run or a bike ride. A TARGET YOU CAN ADJUST Choose a weekly MET-hour target that suits your routine. Start with a manageable goal, then adjust it as your activity changes. Your dashboard keeps the target and your progress visible together. UNDERSTAND THE EFFORT BEHIND THE MINUTES Different activities involve different levels of effort. MET-hours combine an activity’s estimated intensity with its duration, giving you another way to understand your weekly movement. MET stands for metabolic equivalent. One MET represents the energy used at rest. An activity estimated at 4 METs for half an hour contributes 2 MET-hours. These values are estimates, not a direct measurement of your personal fitness or health. SEE YOUR ROUTINE OVER TIME Explore your history by week, month and year. Review individual workouts, compare activity totals and follow your weekly goal streaks. Use the patterns to understand your routine and keep showing up, one week at a time. KEEP YOUR GOAL IN VIEW Add Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets to check your progress at a glance. A quick look helps you stay connected to your weekly target throughout the day. YOUR HEALTH DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE MET Goals keeps your health data on your device. You control access through Apple Health permissions. Make this week’s movement easier to follow. Download MET Goals and start working toward your next weekly goal. REQUIREMENTS & PURCHASES Apple Health permission and compatible workout data are needed for automatic syncing. Workouts from other apps must be saved to Apple Health to appear in MET Goals. Some features require METs Pro, available as an in-app purchase.

Most trackers count minutes. But a minute of hard cycling and a minute of slow walking are not the same effort — and your body knows it. Bide METrics measures your week in MET-hours: your workouts weighted by how hard you moved, combined into one number. It's the metric the longevity research actually uses — built from your logged workouts, not your step count, so it stays comparable to that research instead of just counting movement. WHY MET-HOURS A MET is how much energy an activity burns relative to rest. MET-hours multiply that intensity by time, so an easy jog and a hard interval session each count for what they're worth. Physical-activity research consistently links higher weekly MET-hours with better long-term health — and the benefit keeps climbing well past the point a minutes-only goal plateaus. WHY ONLY WORKOUTS COUNT The research behind this app measured leisure-time exercise — deliberate workouts, not commuting, chores, or everyday steps. So Bide METrics only counts logged workouts too. It's a small trade-off (a walk you don't start as a workout won't count) for a number you can actually trust against the science, instead of an all-day activity score that looks impressive but means something different. WHAT YOU GET • A weekly ring showing your MET-hours against a personal target • A pacing cue — see at a glance whether you're on track for the week • Activity zones from "below minimum" to "high," grounded in the research • A breakdown of which workouts drove your total • History: weekly bars, a yearly-average trend, and how many weeks you hit target • This week / this month / this year / past years — switch with a tap • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for a glance without opening the app BUILT ON YOUR HEALTH DATA Bide METrics reads your recorded workouts and body weight from Apple Health and does the math the studies do: workout energy ÷ body weight, plus the resting metabolism burned during the workout. Nothing to log by hand — start a workout on your Apple Watch or iPhone like you normally would. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No servers. No analytics. No third-party SDKs. Bide METrics never makes a network request — your health data never leaves your iPhone, and if you delete the app, its data goes with it. Set your target, log your workouts, and watch the number that actually tracks with a longer, healthier life. — MET-hours follow the compendium definition of physical activity intensity, scoped to recorded workouts to match how the cited research measured activity. Targets and dose-response framing draw on peer-reviewed physical-activity and mortality research (Arem et al., 2015) and the 2024 Adult Compendium of Physical Activities. Bide METrics is a fitness tool, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition.
