PonyLegsFitness

PonyLegsFitness is your free training log for strength training and, if we must, cardio. Plan your workouts, tick off sets and see what actually improves. Occupying equipment is not, regrettably, a performance metric. No login. No subscription. No ads. No in-app purchases. No tracking. YOUR PLAN. YOUR RULES. Build weekly or two-week plans, name your training days or start without a plan. The assistant considers your goals, experience, time and equipment. It builds plans, suggests exercises and improves existing days. You choose what to accept. Duplicate plans or restore earlier local versions, too. PICK MUSCLES, NOT SEARCH TERMS Tap the muscle avatar or move the slider to find matching exercises. Detailed mappings distinguish primary, supporting and stabilizing muscles. Custom exercises get suggestions you can adjust, and matching duplicates can be merged after review. EVERY SET COUNTS Log weight, reps or seconds for suitable exercises, including unilateral training and separate loads. Compare your last workout, use saved targets and approve optional progression suggestions yourself. Add, replace and reorder exercises as you train. Notes remember the rest. Deleted sets and exercises can be undone. REST WITH A DEADLINE. CARDIO WITH NUMBERS. The floating rest timer sits at the top or bottom and follows you through Live Activities on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Depending on the activity, log cardio time, distance, pace, speed, incline and more. Yes, hiking counts. SEE WHAT YOU DID The muscle avatar updates as you complete sets. Statistics show your overall muscle profile, training time, volume, best performances and exercise trends. Filter by period, plan or exercise and export as CSV. Illness and absence periods protect your streak and adjust time-based averages. Deleted workouts stay in the trash for 30 days. WATCH, HEALTH AND PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE Apple Watch accompanies workouts started on your iPhone with heart rate, active calories, set controls and rest timing. Finish the workout on your iPhone. Save completed workouts to Apple Health if you choose; PonyLegs also works fully without a Watch. Add up to two photos per workout, using the camera or Photos. Share photo workout cards and unlocked achievement cards, or save them as images. Visible and secret achievements recognize effort, strength and questionable priorities. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Local storage, shareable plans, workout import and export, and full backups including workout photos. No uploads to our own servers. You can also save to Apple Health or Photos; their iCloud use follows your Apple settings. The plan assistant works offline from iOS 18. On compatible iPhones with iOS 26 or later, enabled Apple Intelligence can refine suggestions locally. No external AI service and no Health data in the assistant. Muscle highlights are based on logged training, not measured muscle activation. Calories may be estimated; their source is shown. Not a medical diagnosis or treatment service. 100% free. Your credit card gets a rest day.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PonyLegsFitness at none against Pulse's 1. PonyLegsFitness also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Pulse's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
