Fortera

Fortera is a strength-training journal that records what actually happened in your session — not a rough guess. Most trackers give you one number: total time. This one builds a real timeline. When each set started. How long you were under load. How long you truly rested between sets. What your heart rate was doing. Every number on your progress charts comes from that timeline, so it reflects the workout you did. APPLE WATCH COMPANION Run the whole session from your wrist: pick the next exercise, log a set, start the rest timer with a haptic countdown, and watch live heart rate. The watch counts reps from your wrist movement and asks you to confirm. It keeps working while your phone is in the locker — everything syncs back the moment they meet again. SMART PROGRAMMING Ready-made programs, a calendar planner, and a generator that builds a session around the muscle groups you have actually recovered. Weight suggestions follow your own history and the equipment you are using — barbell, dumbbells, machines or cables. • Periodization: training runs in blocks — the app keeps the mesocycle, works out your weights and tells you when to deload • Guided workout: one exercise per screen, with a warm-up ladder built from your working weight AI COACH Optional and built in: • Program generation from your goal, your equipment and your history • A second opinion on your working weight — with the reasoning • Form check: record a set, get feedback on your technique It runs only when you ask for it. Nothing is sent otherwise. CARDIO TOO Treadmill, bike, rower, elliptical, stepper and walking — inside your workout, from the phone or from the watch. Distance, steps and calories come from Apple Health automatically; you type nothing. FOR WOMEN Optional cycle tracking suggests a target effort and volume for your phase — and asks before adjusting a workout. The decision stays yours. Turn it on in your profile. SEE REAL PROGRESS • Personal records and estimated 1RM for every exercise • Volume, tonnage and time-under-load charts • Body measurements by zone, left and right apart, and progress photos with a chosen pose • Recovery map: which muscles are still fatigued • Food diary with calories and macros • Streaks, lifetime totals and badges • Full workout history, exportable to CSV BUILT FOR THE GYM FLOOR • Plate calculator — exactly what to load on each side of the bar • Automatic warm-up sets before your working weight • Rest timer with notifications • Exercise library with 160+ movements, photos, step-by-step instructions, and room for your own custom exercises TRAIN WITH A COACH Invite your coach by link: they assign programs, add their own exercises and get a video report for any exercise — you decide what to send. COMMUNITY Share a finished workout as a card, follow friends in the feed and cheer them on. Report and block are one tap away, and a verified badge shows an account is real. APPLE HEALTH Fortera reads your steps, active energy, sleep and body weight from Apple Health, and writes every finished workout back with heart rate and calories — so it counts in whatever else you use. OFFLINE FIRST Everything works with no connection at all. Create an account and your data syncs across iPhone and Apple Watch when you are back online — optional, never required. PRIVACY Health data read from Apple Health is used only inside the app. No ads, no third-party analytics, nothing sold to anyone. AI features send data to the model provider only at the moment you use them — see our privacy policy.
