BreathSesh is a breathing timer for box breathing, 4-7-8 and other breathwork exercises. Pick a pattern, follow the bloom on screen and breathe for as long as you like. Calm Breathing is free. One purchase unlocks every other pattern and the custom builder. There is no subscription, no account and nothing to sign in to. WHO IT IS FOR People who already know what box breathing or 4-7-8 is and want a clean timer for it. And people who are new to breathing exercises and want each pattern to walk them through it, one phase at a time. THE PATTERNS Calm Breathing (free): 4 seconds in, 4 seconds out. Box Breathing: in, hold, out, hold, 4 seconds each. 4-7-8 Breathing: in for 4, hold for 7, out for 8. 2-4 Breathing: in for 2, out for 4. A short one for a tense moment. Resonance Breathing: 5.5 seconds in, 5.5 seconds out, about six breaths a minute. Alternate Nostril: a guided pranayama pattern that tells you when to switch sides. Power Breathing: 30 quick breaths, a one-minute hold and a recovery breath, in one to five rounds. Freestyle mode lets you end the hold yourself. Custom patterns: set your own inhale, hold, exhale and rest times, preview the rhythm and save it. HOW A SESSION WORKS Tap Start and the room dims around you. A glowing bloom opens as you breathe in and closes as you breathe out, in a dark room that stays easy on the eyes at night. Tones, spoken cues and haptics mark each phase, so you can close your eyes and keep the rhythm. Pick one of eight sound themes, including rain, ocean and crackling fire, or turn everything off and breathe in silence. A CALM FIRST MINUTE The first time you open BreathSesh, you take one breath with it before it asks you anything. A few quiet screens follow, asking what you need and when you want a reminder. After that, Home is built around one button, Start, with a pattern ready to go. KEEP THE HABIT Streaks and a session history show how often you breathe. Stats chart your minutes by pattern. Set a daily reminder at a time you choose. Streak widgets sit on your Home Screen and Lock Screen, and Siri can start a Calm Breathing, Box Breathing or Power Breathing session by voice. 16 LANGUAGES English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). Every screen is translated. PRIVATE BY DESIGN BreathSesh has no server and no account. Your sessions, streaks and custom patterns sync between your iPhones through your own private iCloud. The app works fully offline. PAY ONCE Calm Breathing stays free. You can try each ready-made pattern free for up to a minute, counted across your tries, and Power Breathing for one full round. One purchase unlocks the rest, the custom builder included, for good. You can restore it on any device with your Apple Account. No subscription, no renewal. A NOTE ON SAFETY Breathing exercises suit most healthy adults. Breath holds, as in Power Breathing, are brief and voluntary. Never practice them in water, while driving or anywhere that fainting would be dangerous. If you have a heart, lung or blood pressure condition, ask your doctor first. BreathSesh is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. Made for iPhone. Requires iOS 26 or later. Questions? support@breathsesh.app
