About

Snack Pause

Pause first. Notice what you need. Choose with kindness. Snack Pause is an app that helps you pause before eating snacks, sweets, desserts, late-night food, or other foods that may feel hard to stop eating once you start. It is especially useful when you may not be physically hungry, but still feel pulled toward food because of stress, loneliness, boredom, sadness, tiredness, or a sudden craving. Before you eat, Snack Pause guides you through a simple and gentle self-check. The goal is not to blame you, judge your food choices, or force you to quit snacks. Instead, it helps create a small space between urge and action, so you can ask: Am I physically hungry? Do I need comfort, rest, connection, soothing, or just a short pause? Version 1.2 adds a deeper pause-and-support experience. Snack Pause is no longer just a tracking tool. It is a gentle companion for emotional eating awareness, self-soothing, and kinder decision-making. Main features include: • Record the food you want before eating • Choose between Quick and Full check-in modes • Quick Mode records physical hunger, emotion intensity, and snack urge • Full Mode records stress, physical hunger, loneliness, boredom, sadness, and snack urge • New Pause page with 60-second, 90-second, and 3-minute pause timers • Receive local reminders based on your input • Choose from Caring, Direct, and Energetic Coach reminder tones • View a “Pause Need Level” to understand how much support this moment may need • See simple reference indicators such as refined carbs, oil, and salt • Get supportive snack ideas without being forced to replace your original snack • Choose “I still want it and want to enjoy it slowly” without shame • Receive self-soothing activity suggestions before deciding what to do next • Select your preferred self-soothing activities in Settings • Use “Make me feel better now” for quick soothing activity suggestions • Save local history records on your device • Review eating and emotion patterns with statistics charts • View trends by day, week, month, and year • See separate statistics for Quick and Full mode records • Listen to reminder content with text-to-speech • Export records as a CSV file for personal saving or review • Supports Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English Your records are stored on your device.
