Turn the iPhone and iPad you already own into a full cash register. Cash sales are free forever. For cards, connect your own Stripe account and OSPOS adds 1% on top of Stripe's rate — no monthly fee, no contract, no card reader to buy. NEW — YOUR IPAD IS NOW THE REGISTER OSPOS runs on iPad, laid out for a counter: your categories down one side, the menu grid in the middle, the running order on the right. Everything is where your thumb already is. NEW — TWO DEVICES, ONE REGISTER Pair an iPad and an iPhone and OSPOS splits the register in two. Ring the order on the iPad; the iPhone faces the customer, mirrors the cart line by line as you build it, and takes the tap. No extra hardware, no extra fee. - The customer watches their order total as it's rung, then taps their own card - Pair once with a four-digit code; the two devices reconnect on their own - Either device can be the register — swap roles whenever it suits the counter - Every message between the two is signed, so nothing nearby can read your cart TAKE CARDS WITH NO CARD READER Tap to Pay on iPhone accepts contactless cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets directly on your iPhone. Nothing to plug in, nothing to charge, nothing to lose behind the counter. NEW — RUN A CREW Invite your staff by email and each of them takes payments on their own iPhone, into your account. Every sale is recorded under the name of whoever rang it, so you can see the day broken down by person. Your tax rate and receipt wording follow them, so a new hire's first sale is correct without them configuring anything. BUILT FOR REAL COUNTERS - Modifier groups — size, milk, extras, with required and optional choices - Mark an item sold out for the day without deleting it - Discounts and comps on the whole order, with the tax handled correctly - Per-item tax, so packaged retail and prepared food can live on one menu - Edit a line after it's rung, straight from the cart WORKS WHEN THE INTERNET DOESN'T Cash sales need no connection at all. Card payments queue and settle themselves when you're back online. The register does not stop because the Wi-Fi did. KNOW YOUR DAY Today's takings, transaction count, average sale, and the cash/card split. On iPad you also get an hourly chart of when the money actually came in, and the day's transactions beside it. Export any date range to CSV. RECEIPTS Email receipts, or none at all. No customer is ever forced to hand over an address to buy a coffee. PRICING Cash mode is free forever and needs no account, no card, and no trial. For card payments you connect your own Stripe account and keep it. You pay Stripe their normal in-person rate, and OSPOS adds 1% on top. That 1% is the whole of what OSPOS costs. No monthly fee. No minimum. No contract. No hardware to buy or rent. If you stop using OSPOS you keep your Stripe account and your customer history. NEW — CASH DISCOUNT PRICING Post one price and offer a lower one for cash. OSPOS shows both to the customer before they choose and records which one was charged. OPEN SOURCE OSPOS is open source under the MIT licence. You can read exactly what the app does with your money and your customers' data, because the code is public. Requires iOS 16.0 or later. Tap to Pay on iPhone requires iPhone XS or later. Card payments are currently available to merchants in the United States.

About

Barbeat Ops

Features

Barbeat Ops is the app a bar and beverage crew uses to run an event, from the truck pulling up to the concession bill at the end of the night. It replaces paper chits and a shared spreadsheet, and everyone on the crew works from their own phone. STOCK, FROM TRUCK TO BILL Manifest. Record what the truck actually delivered, item by item, and lock it. Anything that does not match the concession list is flagged. Drops. Send a pre-drop to each bar. A runner accepts the pickup, carries it, and the bar manager accepts the delivery. Orders. During service a bar manager orders from the truck. The stock manager fills, edits or declines the order, and a runner carries it over. Transfers. A bar that has stopped serving offers what is left to the other bars, and an open bar can ask the other bars for stock instead of opening new cases. First accept wins. Closeout. Each bar counts what goes back to the truck; whatever does not go back is billed as used. Open bottles and open cases travel separately and are tracked for custody only. Truck count. Once every bar is closed, the truck is counted and the concession bill is final. CASH The cash room keeps the ledger for the night: deposits, floats out to named people, pickups coming back mid-night, each person's end-of-night close-out, and bill exchanges in either direction. Everything is counted by denomination. Every leg is accepted by the person actually holding the money, and a count that does not match becomes a dispute the cash admin settles bill by bill. HOW IT WORKS ON A BUSY FLOOR One-tap accept. Hand-offs are accepted on the receiver's own phone, and a runner's quick drop records which manager took it. The record keeps the name and the time. Nothing to sign, nothing to file. Works offline. Venues kill signal. Every tap saves on the phone first and syncs when the network comes back, so the night never stops for a dead bar of service. No double hand-offs. When two people tap the same pickup, the server decides who got there first, and the other phone says so in plain words instead of quietly disagreeing. Notifications. The person being waited on gets the notification — the runner with the pickup, the bar with the delivery, the cash room with the hand-over — not everyone on the event. Reports are ready the moment the truck is counted: the concession bill, usage by bar, usage by category, variance against the concession list, sponsor report, runner activity, cash by bar and by event, the audit log, and — when the event's sales tracking is on — expenses, profit and loss and the sales reconciliation. Every report exports to PDF, XLSX and CSV. ROLES Event admin, stock manager, bar manager, cashier, bar runner, cash runner, cash admin, and promoter. Each person sees only the tabs their role needs, and a removed person loses access to the event straight away. WHO IT IS FOR Bar and beverage companies running bars at concerts, festivals, stadiums, arenas and private events — a crew of a few or a whole night's staff, built and load-tested for 48 phones at once. ACCOUNTS There is no sign-up in the app. Your company's admin creates your account and gives you a username and a temporary password; you choose your own password the first time you sign in. If your company does not use Barbeat Ops yet, write to info@barbeatops.com.
