Shiftlyx vs RotaNest

Shiftlyx is a shift planner built by a nurse, for everyone who works shifts. Not a calendar with a night mode bolted on. A planner that understands a run of nights is a different physiological state, that a long day and a night shift on the same date means nobody is home, and that "are you free Thursday" is a harder question than any office worker will ever have to answer. Built first for healthcare nurses, paramedics, doctors, midwives, healthcare assistants because that is the hardest version of the problem. It works the same way for police, fire, hospitality, logistics, manufacturing, security, and anyone else living on a rota. SEE THE BAD WEEK BEFORE YOU'RE IN IT Shiftlyx scores your fatigue across your whole rota, not one shift at a time. Shift type, length, transitions, and the load stacking up behind you. Recovery gaps, night density and consecutive days, all in one score. KNOW WHAT YOU EARNED, BEFORE PAYDAY Every long day, every night, every unsocial hour, added up. Base pay, night premiums and weekend enhancements broken down, with your real effective hourly rate. Works from a band or a straight hourly rate. MY CREW — FIND THE DAY EVERYONE'S ACTUALLY FREE Getting eight people off the same team into one room is impossible by text. Someone's on nights. Someone's just come off them. Import your rotas and Shiftlyx finds the day for you: who's free, who's free-ish and could make it around a shift, and who's working. It even knows who's coming off nights and shouldn't be counted. PARTNER SYNC — FOR TWO SHIFT WORKERS AND ONE FAMILY Put your rota next to your partner's and Shiftlyx reads every day of the month. Both off, that's a shared day off. One of you off, childcare is covered. Both of you working, that's the one you need to know about. It counts them. It flags the uncovered weekends. And it shows you the longest run of days where neither of you is home. PLAN WITH YOUR VOICE Say "nights this month, weekends off, max three in a row." Florence builds it. No forms, no settings screens. ALSO INSIDE Rota import from an iCal link, a file, or paste. Night shift recovery and sleep windows. Commute timing so a bad journey doesn't cost you a shift. Swap preview. Eight shift patterns, so your dashboard matches how you actually work. YOUR EMPLOYER CANNOT SEE ANY OF THIS Shiftlyx is not connected to your employer's rostering system and never will be. Your rota, your fatigue, your pay, your family. Yours. Free to use. One month of Shiftlyx Pro free for everyone, no card needed. Your shift. Your terms. https://www.shiftlyx.com/terms https://www.shiftlyx.com/privacy
