PB

PB-Runner is a running app that records your runs with the full depth your watch/phone can capture - pace, distance, splits, heart rate, and running-form metrics like power, ground contact time, vertical oscillation, stride length and cadence - and shows them in detail with route maps. - Record runs on Apple Watch (standalone, phone left at home) or on iPhone. - Garmin Support with PB-Runner ConnectIQ app - Detailed run breakdowns, route maps, and splits. - Create custom training schedules with AI you can follow on your wrist/phone with audio and haptic cues. - Recovery context from Apple Health (resting heart rate, sleep, HRV, VO2max). - An analytics dashboard on the web at pb-runner.com. - Share your run with a built-in editor for sharing your runs โ stats over the map or your photo, dragged into place and styled to match. Bring your own AI (optional): connect an AI you already use - Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another - to your own training data and build your Athletes Profile so it can analyse your runs and help plan your sessions based on the athlete you are, not a generic runner in an age group . PB-Runner is the connector; the AI is your own separate subscription, and the app works fully without it. PB-Runner is free while we launch - record runs, sync across your devices, and see your stats. Connecting your own AI is included free for now but will become a paid option later; your recording and history stay free. Privacy: your health and location data is used only to run the features you use, never for advertising, and never sold. It is only shared with an AI when you explicitly choose to connect one.

Form8 builds a personal 8-week training program around you โ not the other way around. Set up your profile (weight, height, age and goal) and Form8 generates your plan and nutrition targets: - Pick your goal: muscle growth, hybrid or fat loss. - Combine strength with running, swimming and/or cycling. - Train 3 to 7 days per week โ sessions are spread smartly for recovery. - Allow combo days: strength plus an easy endurance session on the same day. While you train: - Log reps and weight for every set and check them off. - A 2-minute rest timer starts automatically after each set. - Swap any exercise โ squat to leg press, dumbbell to machine โ for one week or permanently. - Track per-exercise progress: your heaviest set and volume per week. Nutrition that fits you: - Calorie needs and macros are calculated from your profile. - Separate targets for training and rest days, plus a meal plan that scales with you. - Choose your units: metric (kg, cm) or imperial (lbs, ft). Form8 works fully offline. No account needed โ all your data stays private on your own device. Nothing is collected or sent. Start today and build your form in 8 weeks.

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Form8 at every 2 days against PB's every 5 days. Form8 also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
