One More Tap Dungeon
Read full descriptionHide full description
One More Tap Dungeon is a punchy tap-combat roguelike: a huge monster fills the screen, you hammer the TAP button, fat damage numbers fly — and every fifth wave a boss looms in. You will die. That's the game. Bank your Bone Coins, buy a permanent upgrade with an ugly name, and go again — stronger every run. HOW A RUN WORKS • Tap to attack. Crits flash gold. The monster shakes. The HP bar chunks away. • Clear a wave, pick 1 of 3 upgrade cards — Goblin Knuckles, Greed Candle, Venom Thumb, Last Stand. Every card has a real effect you can feel. • Every 5th wave: a boss. Bigger, meaner, glowing. The Gravewarden, Maw of Ash, The Pale Saint, Dread Sovereign. • Die, see exactly how close you came ("Boss had 3% HP left." — only when it's true), and start one more run. BETWEEN RUNS • Six permanent upgrades with personality: Dungeon Hands, Thicker Skin, Panic Crit, Greedy Pockets, Reroll Gremlin, Boss Grudge. • Beat your best wave. Share it. MADE TO RESPECT YOU • Fully playable free. No paid random card packs. No energy timers. • Offline, no account, no tracking — your dungeon lives on your phone. • Optional Dungeon Pass adds rerolls, bonus loot, card skins and a fixed daily bonus. One more run. One more upgrade. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Your grandmother Wren left you her farm. She left the shop too, and the hole in the ground under the field, and not much of an explanation. Water both, she said. Duskroot is a cosy farming game with a mine underneath it. FARM BY DAY Clear the ground, till it, plant it, water it, and bring it in. What you grow is what you have to sell. RUN YOUR OWN SHOP Put a thing on a shelf and put a price on it. Villagers come in, look at what you are asking, and decide. Too dear and they wince. Too cheap and you have fed them for nothing. Nobody ever tells you what anything is worth. You work it out by selling. DELVE BY DUSK Take a pick and a sword down and see how far you get. A sword combo, a bow you hold to draw, slimes, skeletons and a couple of things that are worse. Fall down there, or stay past midnight, and half of what you are carrying stays behind. ONE TREE, TWO LIVES Farming, fighting, mining, fishing and haggling all feed one pool of stars, and one branching tree spends them. There is no class to pick at the start. What you spend it on is who you turn into. FREE, AND IT STAYS FREE There is no paywall anywhere in Duskroot. Two moments offer you a short advert in exchange for a favour: a hint at the shop, and a hand up when you fall in the mine. Both are optional, both are capped, and skipping them costs you nothing. If you would rather never see an advert, the Rootkeeper's Pact takes the adverts away and leaves the favours. There is also a pet to follow you around and a night bloom for the tree, if you want to say thanks. Both are just for looks. Grow it. Sell it. Go down and get more.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: One More Tap Dungeon at none against Duskroot's shown. One More Tap Dungeon also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Duskroot's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 4 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
