Roadworthy

Roadworthy is for UK driving instructors. Solo ADIs, or a small school with a few instructors on the books. The whole business runs from your phone, between lessons, from the driver's seat. Roadworthy requires a paid subscription, with a 30-day free trial to start. Every feature described below โ the diary, CarPlay, sketches, the pupil app, online booking, pupil progress, earnings and the rest โ is included in that one subscription. There is nothing else to buy and no other in-app purchases. IN THE CAR WITH YOU Roadworthy runs on CarPlay: your next pickup, a live countdown, what you covered last time and today's focus, a heads-up when the drive to the next pickup is tighter than the gap, and one tap to hand navigation to Apple Maps. WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL Your diary opens in a blackspot. Move or add a lesson with no signal and it's kept safe and sent the moment you're back online. SMART DIARY Your day and your week at a glance, with free days shown because a gap is the thing you want to fill. Set up standing weekly lessons once. If two pickups are too far apart to make in time, Roadworthy tells you before you've promised the slot. Pupils can have more than one pickup โ home, work, college. FILL CANCELLATIONS When a lesson cancels, text your waitlist in a tap and the first pupil to reply YES is booked straight in. Pupils who've told you they're free at that time are shown first. SKETCH ON THE ROAD Freeze a satellite view of a junction or roundabout and draw on it with your finger or Apple Pencil. Keep a library of them, and attach one to a lesson so your pupil sees it in their app that evening. YOUR PUPILS' APP Pupils see their next lesson, what you covered, their progress and anything owed, in your school's name and colours. They can message you, ask to cancel or move a lesson (you decide), sign your terms, and tell you when they're usually free. PUPIL PROGRESS & STANDARDS CHECK A DVSA skills grid for each learner, a test-readiness gauge, theory-expiry alerts and a countdown to the practical. Record each test result and see DVSA's four Standards Check triggers for your last 12 months. ONLINE BOOKING & PAYMENTS Send a learner your booking link. They pick a free slot and pay by card, and the money lands in your own account. Not ours. EARNINGS, EXPENSES & MILEAGE What you've taken, what's still owed, and what's left after fuel and costs. Log business miles for your HMRC mileage allowance, get reminders before your MOT, tax and insurance are due, and export a CSV for your accountant. AND MORE Prepaid lesson blocks, voice lesson notes, reminders, deposits that cover you for no-shows, and a school view when there's more than one of you. SUBSCRIPTION 30-day free trial, then ยฃ13.99/month or ยฃ109.99/year. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Less admin. More teaching time. You're the instructor, the scheduler, and the accountant. Lesson Diary is the driving instructor app that handles your diary, pupil bookings, and payment tracking, so a cancelled lesson doesn't mean a lost afternoon. DIARY, YOUR WAY See your day, week, or month at a glance. Book, move, or cancel lessons in seconds, with instant conflict warnings so you never double-book a slot. BOOKINGS THAT COME TO YOU Pupils request lessons through your own online booking page. You approve, defer, or decline from your phone. No more chasing texts to confirm a time. LESSON PACKAGES, YOUR WAY Set up Regular, Intensive, Pass Plus, Motorway, or Refresher lessons with your own durations and prices. Every booking picks up the right package automatically, so quoting a price is never a guessing game. TRACK EVERY PUPIL Keep a record of tests, licence details, transmission type, progress notes, and full lesson history per pupil, so you always know where they're at before you get in the car. PROGRESS NOTES THAT STICK Log what you covered and how it went straight after the lesson, skill by skill, pupil by pupil, so nothing gets forgotten between sessions and pupils can see how far they've come. KNOW WHO'S PAID See outstanding balances at a glance, mark individual lessons as paid, or clear a whole backlog in one tap with mark-all-as-paid. No more guessing who still owes you for last week. REMINDERS, HANDLED Automatic lesson reminders keep pupils showing up on time, so you spend less time chasing and more time teaching. YOUR COVERAGE, YOUR PATCH Set the areas you teach in so your online booking page only ever brings you pupils you can actually reach. STAYS IN SYNC Everything you do on your phone syncs instantly with your Lesson Diary web account, so your diary is always up to date wherever you check it, on your phone, tablet, or desktop. BUILT FOR ONE PERSON: YOU No bloated fleet-management features you'll never touch. Lesson Diary is built specifically for the working instructor running their own diary, their own pupils, and their own business. Built for driving instructors who'd rather be teaching than doing paperwork. New here? The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lesson Diary at none against Roadworthy's 2. Lesson Diary also leads on update cadence (daily vs weekly) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
