Your first three steps determine your acceleration. Impulse tells you exactly what's happening in each one. Film your sprint in slow motion and Impulse automatically extracts the mechanics that matter: shin angle at ground contact, ground contact time, and flight time across each step. No lab equipment. No sensors. Just your iPhone. The same data that previously required a university motion capture lab is now in your pocket. THE SCIENCE When your shin is vertical at ground contact, force drives straight down — pushing you up, not forward. A forward shin angle redirects that force vector backward, converting it into horizontal velocity. Shin angle is the single biggest mechanical determinant of how fast you accelerate off the line. WHO IT'S FOR Sprinters, football players, basketball players, or any athlete who needs to be faster in their first few steps. If your first step matters, your mechanics matter. WHAT YOU GET Shin angle at each ground contact across your first three steps Ground contact and flight time per step Speed at each step calculated from your footage Session history to track improvement over time See how your mechanics correlate with your speed across sessions HOW IT WORKS Prop your phone at hip height from the side. Film your first 3-4 steps in slow motion. Impulse processes the footage and delivers a full mechanics breakdown in minutes.

MaxSprint is a sprint training platform for athletes who want to plan, execute and analyse speed training in one place. Built for sprint performance, MaxSprint combines workout building, individualised targets, Apple Watch, timing-gate compatibility, optional cloud sync, coach connectivity, readiness monitoring and sprint analysis. BUILD SPRINT WORKOUTS Create sessions for acceleration, maximum velocity, speed endurance, special endurance and more. Build workouts using: • Standard repetitions • Split and broken runs • Variable-distance and ladder sessions • Timed or walk-back recoveries Target times can be individualised using your sprint profile, training intensity and session demands. INTELLIGENT AUDIO PACING Use audio pacing to help control rep intensity without constantly checking a stopwatch. MaxSprint can pace around different phases of a sprint rather than simply dividing a target time into equal splits. TRAIN WITH APPLE WATCH Run guided sprint workouts from Apple Watch with rep progression, recovery timing and key workout information on your wrist. Planned workouts can also be delivered to Apple Watch and completed independently. You can also train directly from iPhone. TIMING GATE COMPATIBILITY Compatible timing data can be captured during live workouts and automatically added to your session. View results during training, compare performances against targets and retain data for later analysis. MaxSprint is not affiliated with or endorsed by Freelap. CONNECT WITH YOUR COACH Create an optional MaxSprint Cloud account to connect with MaxSprint Coach. Receive planned workouts, share completed training and keep workout information synchronised across supported devices. Cloud functionality is optional for individual training. PLAN AND TRACK TRAINING Work from planned sessions while preserving the difference between what was prescribed and what was completed. Review delivered volume, sprint-quality exposure and performance over time. MONITOR TRAINING READINESS With your permission, MaxSprint can use relevant Apple Health data together with training history to provide a personalised readiness assessment. Depending on available data, this may consider: • Sleep duration • Resting heart rate • Heart rate variability • Recent training volume and intensity • Sprint performance • Optional questionnaire responses • Optional countermovement jump results Readiness information is for training and informational purposes only and is not medical advice. ANALYSE YOUR TRAINING Review: • Individual repetition performance • Fastest and slowest repetitions • Split times • Target versus actual performance • Training history • Planned versus completed training • Sprint-quality exposure • Performance trends BUILD YOUR SPRINT PROFILE Create an athlete profile using your performances and training data.
