Protein Tracker
Read full descriptionHide full description
Protein is the only number that matters. So it's the only number this app shows. Open it, see today's grams against your goal, tap the food you ate. That's the entire app. There is no calorie count anywhere in it — not on the home screen, not in the food list, not hidden behind a setting. There never will be. WHAT IT DOES • One screen, one number. Today's protein total and your daily goal. Nothing else competing for your attention. • Tap-to-log from 30 common foods. Chicken breast, eggs, Greek yoghurt, whey, cottage cheese — the things people actually eat when they're chasing a protein target. • Portion picker. Half a serving, double, or type the exact grams. • Your own foods. Add anything that isn't on the list once, reuse it forever. • Fix yesterday. Forgot to log Tuesday? Open Tuesday and log it. • A week at a glance. Seven days, your daily average, and your current streak. • Two optional reminders a day. Off if you want them off. WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOESN'T DO No calories. No carbs or fat. No weigh-ins. No meal plans, no recipes, no photo scanning, no streak guilt, no "you have 240 calories left today." If you're here, you probably already tried a full nutrition tracker and quit — not because you stopped caring about protein, but because logging every macro of every meal is a second job. This app is the version that survives contact with a normal week. YOUR GOAL, WORKED OUT IN ONE SCREEN Enter your bodyweight in pounds or kilograms, pick a tier — maintain, build, or lean — and the app does the arithmetic. Or ignore all of that and type the number your coach gave you. Change it in Settings whenever. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Everything you log lives on your phone. There is no account, no email, no sign-up, no sync, no analytics and no ads. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, because there's nowhere to upload it to. Delete the app and the data goes with it. FREE The number, the goal, the food list, the history and the streak are free. There is no paywall on food lookup, which is the thing that made you close the last app you tried. Goal tiers are general training guidance, not medical advice. If you have a kidney condition, are pregnant, or are managing a medical diet, talk to a doctor about your protein intake. One number. One dial. Did you get your protein today? ProteinOnly is a protein tracker for people who do not want a food diary. No calorie counting. No macro spreadsheet. No guilt about your lunch. You set a daily protein goal in grams, and one big ring on the home screen fills as you eat. LOG IN TWO TAPS • Favorites — yesterday's chicken bowl is one tap away, today and every day • Quick add — type the grams straight in, or pick from a built-in list of common foods • Barcode — scan the package for protein per serving, then set your portion • Photo estimate — snap your plate and get an estimated protein range to confirm or nudge before it saves A GOAL THAT FITS YOU Enter your goal in grams, or let ProteinOnly work it out from your body weight. Presets cover the usual targets, including the higher protein goals that fit GLP-1 journeys and the 1.6 to 2.2 g/kg range active lifters use. It is guidance, not medical advice, and the number is always yours to change. THE RING IS THE POINT The dial is the whole interface. Open the app and you know instantly where you are: grams so far, grams to go, and a satisfying fill on every log. Today's entries sit underneath, editable in a tap. STREAKS AND HISTORY A calendar heat view of the days you hit your goal, 7 and 30-day averages, and a streak worth protecting. Enough history to see a pattern, without turning into a diary you have to maintain. FIBER, IF YOU WANT IT Turn on an optional second ring for fiber and track it through exactly the same logging paths. Off by default, because one number is the promise. HOME SCREEN WIDGETS Put the ring on your home screen and log without opening the app. REMINDERS THAT SAY SOMETHING USEFUL Optional nudges: a morning start, and an evening check when there is still a gap ("38 g to go — what's for dinner?"). WHO IT IS FOR People eating less overall and wanting protein to stay high. Lifters who already know their number and are tired of logging three other macros to get it. Anyone who tried a full food tracker, lasted nine days, and quit. PRIVATE AND FAST Your log lives on your phone. There is no account and no sign-up. Photos are sent for an estimate only in the moment you ask for one, and are never stored on a server. FREE, AND HONESTLY FREE Manual logging, favorites, barcode scanning, the dial, streaks, and a week of history are free forever, plus 5 AI photo estimates to try. ProteinOnly Pro unlocks unlimited photo estimates, full history and the calendar heat view, home screen widgets, the fiber ring, and reminder customization. Pro comes as an annual auto-renewing subscription that opens with a 7-day free trial, or as a monthly one. Prices are shown in your own currency before you buy. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings.
