Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Evac Ops at Free against Qwirkle's $2.99. Evac Ops also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Qwirkle's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Evac Ops is free to download; Qwirkle costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Evac Ops holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Qwirkle has 1.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Qwirkle ships an update every 3 months, Evac Ops every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
