Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: CHOPT at 44K against Cannon Meals's 7. Cannon Meals's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for CHOPT against 5.0 for Cannon Meals. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CHOPT has 44K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.
CHOPT ships an update every 2 weeks, Cannon Meals every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
