Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: 96.7 The Eagle WCOE at 100% against Xfinity Stream's 18%. 96.7 The Eagle WCOE also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Xfinity Stream's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Xfinity Stream holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xfinity Stream has 266K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Xfinity Stream's written reviews are positive against 100% of 96.7 The Eagle WCOE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Xfinity Stream ships an update every 2 months, 96.7 The Eagle WCOE every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
