Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: DoorBird at 4.5 against GoGogate2's 3.1. DoorBird also leads on ratings volume (29K vs 42) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
DoorBird holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DoorBird has 29K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of DoorBird's written reviews are positive against 40% of GoGogate2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DoorBird ships an update every 3 weeks, GoGogate2 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
