Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: 545 Madison at free against Airtable's free with in-app purchases. Airtable's advantage is ratings volume (25K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
545 Madison holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airtable has 25K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Airtable ships an update fortnightly, 545 Madison every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
