Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ratings volume: MyScorecard at 6.7K against DeepStats.Golf's 6. MyScorecard also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (13.2 vs 16). DeepStats.Golf's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (50% vs 31%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyScorecard sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and DeepStats.Golf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

MyScorecard holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyScorecard has 6.7K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of MyScorecard's written reviews are positive against 50% of DeepStats.Golf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

MyScorecard ships an update every 2 months, DeepStats.Golf every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
