The UltraConnect app allows you to access various UHS security products remotely. The UltraConnect app gives you the same features that are available when accessing your security system locally. These include (depending on your authorisation level): * Arming and disarming the system * Checking the arm status * Checking the history of events * Configuring the system In addition the app allows remote access to any configured cameras. Automate actions based on a user leaving or entering the home or business. * The look and feel and features are the same as when connecting to the system's web pages locally via a LAN connection, but with the ability to do it anywhere with a connection to the internet. The Ultraconnect app supports multiple remote sites for customers with more than one system. Each site must be initially setup with a name and description that is shown on the main site list, as well as some credential information. Once setup, the main page will show the list of sites. For example, if you have systems at home and in the office, the main sites list will show two sites. Accessing each site is then as simple as clicking on the site name. The app will then automatically login to the system using the credentials that are saved for that site. The required credentials are typically provided by your security company representative. The connection to the security system is made via a remote communication server, avoiding the complication of setting up port forwarding. * Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Plink at 5.0 against UltraConnect's 3.0. Plink also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1). UltraConnect's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 0%) and iOS requirement (7.1 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Plink holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plink has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of UltraConnect's written reviews are positive against 0% of Plink's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
UltraConnect ships an update every 6 weeks, Plink every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
