MeadoWatch uses a Community Science approach, and volunteers are essential to the success of our program. Every summer, participants are encouraged to visit trails to record wildflower phenology (the timing of flowering, fruiting and seed production) of some of the most beautiful alpine wildflowers in the world. We use this information to understand which climatic factors trigger flowering and seed production, and how climate change may alter the the timing of seed production. Currently, we are live with two trails at Mt. Rainier National Park

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Sensibo holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sensibo has 342 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Sensibo's written reviews are positive against 67% of MeadoWatch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
