Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Google Keep at 4.6 against Station's 3.0. Google Keep also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (29K vs 2). Station's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Google Keep holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Keep has 29K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Station's written reviews are positive against 45% of Google Keep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Station ships an update every 2 months, Google Keep every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
