What's New in 1

1.9

August 25, 2026

NEW • Spatial audio (beta): a binaural renderer that opens stereo out around you, with head tracking on supported AirPods. PCM only, DSD untouched. • Live audio meters: a real-time spectrum and true-peak analyzer in Signal Path, fed by a tap that only ever reads. Off until you switch it on. • Favorites: heart any track or album and find them all in one place. With your own bridge they back up across devices and feed a new Home mix. • Composers and Genres: two new ways to browse, tuned for classical name forms and multi-genre tags. Both work in search, and Siri takes genre requests. • Deeper analysis: bridge tracks show measured true peak, dynamic range, key and tempo, plus a FLAC checksum that flags a modified file. • Demo library: no bridge of your own? Add the read-only demo library in one tap and try the whole thing. • Waveforms drawn on your device when your source has none, DSD included. • A thermal and battery dashboard in Diagnostics, and refreshed typefaces throughout. IMPROVED • Library sync reports honest progress and pulls far less artwork data when your bridge is up to date. • Offline, playback moves on to the next downloaded track instead of stopping. • Downloads report their real state, so a playlist can no longer claim to be fully offline when it is not. • Renamed or moved files keep their identity instead of vanishing until a full rescan. • Steadier CarPlay: a pause stays paused, and playback comes back after Siri interrupts it. • Fixes across playlists, iPad layout, and bridge pairing. Thank you for the feedback and reports. A lot of this release started there.
