  • Iceland

I can only speak to the Iceland guide. I bought the app as part of my trip planning and thought it would be helpful for navigation. I found the content had a lot of gaps and felt kind of random. Sites that were included linked to nonexistent third party content. Ended up using google maps for both content (checking out reviews and posted pics) and navigation as cell/data service was fine. Cross referenced stuff using trip advisor and created starred places and was good to go.

  • The greatest travel tool out there!

I just recently planned my first trip to Paris, London, and Dublin with my friend and because of work, I only have 10 days to see all three cities! Luckily, my friend and I were able to plan our out trip with ease using TripScout!! We were able to scope out the hostels we are staying at as well as all the major landmarks, museums, and bars we want to visit. I can't imagine planning a trip to another city without this app.

I can't wait to use the app in Europe!!!

  • Love it

It’s a new app so it’s a work in progress but I see a lot of potential. The CEO seems very passionate & really eager to help. I don’t usually spend money on apps but paying for the Iceland guide is seriously going to help. I have road tripped Iceland alone before & this would’ve been so much more useful & avoided wasted hours trying to find routes. Really looking forward to testing in many more countries.

Great app, great guides and great support.
My wife and I used TripScout on our recent trip to Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York. We used it to do some planning before we left home and the guides were very useful and informative once we were in the cities. We had a problem initially loading a couple of guides that was very quickly resolved by the TripScout team.

  • Embassy Brat Approved

Speaking from moderate experience - 20 years living outside my home country on 3 separate continents - I feel qualified to say that TripScout is # for # one of the best city guides I’ve ever used. The content is richly blended with historical insight and humor, the destinations are well curated, and the design of the app is attractive and easily navigable.

My only suggested improvements would be to ensure that every selected destination is complete with an audio description. Most of them were, but it was slightly disappointing when I encountered the few that weren’t. Also, the map does not function offline as well as google’s, but that’s probably to be expected. It still works pretty darn well.

    Happy trails!

  • This app made my trip!

Easy to use and very detailed. When headed to a place you've never been to before this app lays it all out for you. You don't have to stress about so much research because it's at your fingertips. I felt confident that I would explore all the highlights of a new country. I've already used it twice and plan to use it again!

  • Excellent App!

This app is great for people who want to experience places in different ways, it might be doing things that are off the beaten track but also not missing out on some popular things that are worth checking out. Their restaurant recommendations are also fantastic! The guys are trip scout offered me personal recommendations based on my last holiday and they went above and beyond in providing great service. I had a lovely trip!

  • Great

This was super helpful and all round awesome when I was travelling around the USA.
  • My Go-To Travel App

I use TripScout every time I travel internationally. I've used it in London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Beijing. I love this app because I don't have to spend time researching through guidebooks before I go somewhere. I can just land, get to my hotel, open the map and immediately see where all of the points of interest are laid out and intuitively create my own itinerary.

  • It's ok.

I downloaded the guide for Rome, IT hoping to get some good audio guides for different sites in the city. Sadly, most of the point of interest didn't have audio and those that did were 3 min intros that I could have just read on signs/online. One of the audio guides actually said you can learn a lot more if you take a tour in person...The map of the sights was helpful but otherwise it doesn't provide much addition info. Personally, I wouldn't have spent the money for this guide if I had known what I would get.
