  • Looks like I’m buying a different scale today

Scale is three years old. Wasn’t syncing anything but weight to iPhone. Replaced batteries. Re-installed app. I selected the picture of the scale most closely resembling my scale, the Premium. App tells me to download Chinese version of app. Deleted app again, deleted data. Restarted phone. Re-installed app. Same problem. I’m locked out of using the scale by the app. I cannot re-select another scale in the set up. Off to buy another brand today. Goodbye Yunmai.

  • Does not sync past weights

App is buggy and does not have an easy way to transfer stored weights. It has a button to “manage storage” but when pressed it appears to simply delete all saved (non synched) weights without warning! Don’t buy if you want to be able to keep an accurate account of your weights over time.

Updated: After more investigating it has become clear that the app can only be used on one device. If it is on multiple devices the scale will upload the weights indiscriminately between the two devices and user profiles making the records incomplete on any device and a mixture of weights between people. This makes following trends over time totally useless.

  • App needs work

I have two users on scale when I first set it up. Had to remove my husband from app because is would registered his weight under my name (100+# differences in weight). There was no way to edit or delete the wrong weight. Also the app must be sinked to app daily or it won’t save data. I love the scale App needs work.

  • How about Fat percentage goal?

This generally works pretty well and quick to record and transfer the data to my iPhone. The key is to wet my feet first ahead of time. Since weight alone doesn’t mean much depending on the muscle mass , height, age etc. I would love to able to set my goals based on other metrics particularly my fat percentage. It would be great if it has more analytical graph and data particularly the muscle mass in lbs instead of just percentage which could mean a gain or loss of muscle depending on the overall weight. But in general with the price for the smart scale and the easy of use of the app, I’m pretty happy with it.

  • Does not work properly.

    Does not work properly.
  • Bar representation might be wrong in some cases

The bars under the measured number show, for example, green on left (lowest number), then yellow, then red. I assume red (or the right side, which is the higher number) is less desirable. This is good for body and visceral fat. But things like protein and muscle metrics should not go from green to yellow if higher. So this can be misleading.

  • Works well enough

My only complaint is that it collects lots of data but only graphs body fat% and weight. I’d like to see how the other data points like % skeletal muscle, % water, visceral fat, etc fluctuate over time. I mean it’s generating those data points...just graph them.
  • Can’t find my scale

I have the scale connected via Bluetooth but it won’t show up in the app....
  • I love it!

This app is incredible. I love all of the information it provides and it presents it in such a beautiful way. I haven’t had any issues with connectivity.
  • Meh

Great in theory and super affordable, but my god, half the time the Bluetooth won’t connect or the app glitches out
Just let me track my weight! Why’s it so hard?
