Glitching?
My partner and I have played around 30 rounds by now and about 20 out of 30 rounds have given us the letter i or the letter e. Not only are they both terrible letters to begin words why do we keep getting them? Not impressed, won’t be playing again.Pbtekx
Good but can be better
Amazing game. Only thing is that because it is an American app some British answers result as incorrect even though I know for well they are correct. For example there was a part where it said 'University starting with A' I put Aylesbury but it marked it incorrect. I COULD HAVE WON. I am not angry it's just annoying. Anyway, good game. Fun to do when your bored.

Improvements
I do enjoy playing this game, but this game needs some new categories. For one, Americans aren’t the only ones who play this game so having a category titled American Airlines is ridiculous. If you look at the answers played by people overtime you will notice people struggle to provide answers for many of the categories like, horse breed, music label, arcade, circus, Indie bands etc. Much better categories can be created and some new ones would be nice for the people who have played for awhile now. Some possible examples could be, school, house furniture/appliances, weather/phenomenas. Thank you.Show lessJawaFisher
Critical bugs that never get fixed
This game has the potential to be fun, but the bugs make it impossible to play. I’ve been playing the tournament round, but whatever was released in the latest version caused a critical bug. After playing the round and submitting my answers, there is a never-ending loading screen that says “trying to connect”, and it simply never will connect. Happens every single time. You could be waiting there for an hour and it will never resolve.
Clearly I am not the only person this is affecting, so why isn’t this resolved? There is no way this has gone unnoticed if they even had the most basic of error logging. I could be forgiving if the bug was released, and patched quickly. But I waited 2 weeks to play again, and it’s still an issue. And those rounds are 100 tokens. Terrible error handling as well, seeing that the server is trying to connect in an infinite loopShow lesskristenkelly

Love this game but wish that the no ads option was free or at least cheaper.Sheep9910
Fun but not perfect
This game is a good time waster, but it definitely has issues. It has the same few categories over and over. And some are dumb, like book publishers and horse breeds. They will bleep out valid words that contain a no-no word (like Poodle). It has a limited database of acceptable answers. While you have the chance to dispute a disallowed answer, it makes no difference because they never add new valid words. I’ve tried to contact them a few times for clarification on some of the categories, and I never heard back. Oh, and currently the leader boards for the competitions are not accessible. The game has so much potential, but as it is, it’s currently flawed.Show lessHancoca

We're sorry you've experienced this issue with censoring. We've found an issue with the order answers are checked, this has resulted in the answers being checked when they shouldn't be. We are working on an update to resolve this now.Français ???

Super fun!
Scattergories is one of my favorite games, so it’s nice to be able to play in the app when I can’t talk my husband into playing at home.
I love that there are different versions of the game you can choose from, and some that are more competitive than others.
It’s not perfect, though. There are times that I submit a dispute for an answer I think should be correct (like Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys for a rock n roll album), but never get/see that anything happens from the dispute - I think I have heard back from a dispute once over the three years I’ve had the app. Or see 2 players both get points for two different spellings of the same word, maybe to account for different dialects of English?
Overall it’s super fun and I’ll keep playing.Show lessstellaswift
