Horrible
This app used to work just fine to monitor my security cameras. Now…it goes offline at any random moment and won’t come back. I have had the security company come out a few times and it works for a couple of weeks. I am so very frustrated with it!
Blurry footage
Ever since the update all my footage is blurry. It’s clear footage until there’s any kind of movement then it says it’s going to lower resolution. But then you can’t see anything. So what’s the point of having a camera. Been like this for months with no fix. Don’t recommend them.
Terrible App, worse update
This app has always been one of the worst things I've used. Then they updated it. Now I have to manually close out the app because if I multitask it, the video won't play.
But what can I do? You slimeballs got my money and you have zero incentive to improve because what are we gonna do? Invest in another camera system?

New app update is terrible
The old version of the app, I never had issues with viewing content in super high resolution. In the new app, every time I change the resolution in live view or in a recording, it automatically reverts to the lowest setting. It indicates that that lower bandwidth is suggested and within 2 or 3 seconds it automatically selects the lowest bandwidth. This needs to be fixed. It’s not a bandwidth issue on the recorder or the viewing device. I have checked both and they are both receiving at least 500MB of data transfer.

New Auto-Resolution feature terrible
They added a new auto resolution feature into the app, and there’s no way to turn it off. Even though I have strong connections on all ends, everything always reverts to low def and is super blurry and I can never see anything. I’ll change it to super definition, and then within moments it automatically changes back. It’s been terrible and almost unusable.

Blurry Camera

Pretty terrible. Barely Works.
It’s clear this app is never updated. It’s almost impossible to use and barely works. When it does work it’s fine but that’s about 10% of the time. Would change my review if the app worked.
Powerful but lacks basic feature.
This app really is a powerhouse. You can pretty much perform remote administration of your NVR without the need to ever go on site. Viewing live video is a breeze and navigating playback of recordings is pretty simple too. Would be nice to have the ability to jump to the next segment when viewing alerts. The timeline clearly shows you where things occurred in time but drafting the timeline to those points in time is hit or miss. I’m sure there’s some powerful feature that does exactly this that I have not yet discovered. As I said, this app is a powerhouse. Maybe I have more to learn! :) Update: and look at that, I just discovered how to do it! Amazing application!
Request: wonder if it’s possible to get the nvr to recognize presets stored on a ip camera when using the onvif protocol, the onvif protocol does disclose preset information. My nvr just doesn’t see it.

Less than impressed
Have a new system with 5 cameras, the cameras are good but the App is terrible.
It’s not very user friendly. Have to go log in to the dvr to change sensitivity of notifications. Hard to find what you are looking for in the app. Needs to be fixed then it would be good.

Remote playback works 0.2% of the time
I have tried everything to get remote playback to work over the past year. Nothing works but it used to, probably about a year ago. My ring is much more reliable. I’ve had professionals check the system but to access from your phone which is really the only place you need to check it never works. What’s the point of this if you can’t playback any video. It’s useless. I updated the app now it says system busy on remote playback. So I just access Ring and it works perfect everytime.
