Bring back the applaud function.
I love Basecamp, but I donโt like the latest change. We used the โapplaudโ function for people to acknowledge that they had seen posts. The โboostโ function is awkward. Itโs harder to use quickly. If I wanted to leave a comment, I could just leave a comment. I donโt see the point of a 16 character โmini comment.โ Applaud was better.

Confusing
Unfriendly interface, not easy to navigate or find things. Doesnโt work the same in each device. Frustrating. Support difficult to find.

Very useful but needs interface improvement
The app is very useful for team work but it still needs much more clarity in each page and in each subcategory. Private messaging between team members is tricky and unclear as to how to make sure only intended user gets it. It seems in some pages or subgroups you can ping a member and in others you canโt.
A better master menu of all subgroups per project, with a drop down list of action options could be better.
Thank you for reading.

Response from developer
Thanks for this feedback, we appreciate hearing from our users as we're trying to create the best experience for everyone using Basecamp. If you're having any trouble figuring things out feel free to email support@basecamp.com and they're always happy to help!
Clunky and unreliable
Iโm writing this on an iPhone. I often have a poor connection as I commute through tunnels etc. The app canโt handle this situation at all. It hangs or crashes. It says there is no data in the Files section or Messages when I know there is because weโve been putting data in there for months. It should at least acknowledge that itโs loading and not tell me everything has disappeared!
There are too many features and you canโt turn off the things your team doesnโt use so everything is cluttered and the most used parts of the app are buried behind a half dozen taps. I should be able to put shortcuts to the parts of the app I actually use on the front screen. Instead every time I load I have to go โtap, tap, tapโ to get anything done.

Basecamp is the go to project tool
I work together with several clients and multiple teams. We can all work from anywhere and we often do. Right now team members are in Vancouver, Hawaii and New Zealand. Thatโs what I call work life balance. We can travel and still keep projects on time and clients happy.
Gold Standard Project Collaboration App
Been using Basecamp since the beginning. It was better than the rest when they first wrote it, and they have out-developed the competition ever since.
Looking forward to whatโs next.

Basecamp
Greatest tool so far having lots of fun learning and integrating the team.
Very different from v2 and 1, missing some basic things
I've been using Basecamp for years now. Without it would have been literally impossible to manage so many projects. However, be aware of you're moving from v2 to v3. It's shockingly different, the customer interaction is limited. I'd advise to fully test it, and also as a customer to see exactly what you're getting into before switching from an existing version.
***update. As of yet, believe it or not a customer cannot reply to a post/email within โBasecampโ. They need to go back to their emails and reply, believe it or not, this is ridiculous basically zero need to even mention Basecamp to a customer... they can only reply by email.
