Why is this so well rated?
Really clunky interface. Tap anything and a new tab opens up to rip you out of what you were doing. Lots of stuff defies your expectations of what the app should do and something as simple as creating and assigning a new task takes way too many steps. Mediocre at best.

After trying literally ever other piece of software available, it’s clear and easy to see why Basecamp wins any day and every day.
Change the logo back
As a task management app, the old logo with the smiley face was friendly and inviting. The new logo with harsh yellow and black makes me feel anxious and I just want to avoid it all together. Look at other task and project management apps... the branding is bright and fun. The app itself is alright, could use some improvements, but the new logo is not a good look.

Lol Asana
Please don’t make the mistake I did and “think” Asana would be a better fit. On the surface, Asana has more enticing features but it lacks soul. It’s weird to say that, but it’s so true. Basecamp is very simplistic but has an aura about it that makes it extremely user friendly and keeps the team chemistry alive. If they could improve the calendar feature (better views), it would make it unstoppable!

How easy is easy?
I've used a variety of software solutions to track projects and always ended up more confused and find spending more time adding things via pen to paper. This however, is brilliant, it's so easy to use that I've saved so much valuable time on projects since implementing.
Keeps crashing
I’m not sure why but Basecamp opens for five seconds before crashing. iPhone 6s, iOS 12.2. Reset phone. Any tips?

Very effective for large groups in different places
We have teams of people working on different projects in different locations and Basecamp really helps us to manage our teams. Great value
Old life new life
I forget what life was like before Basecamp. But I do know I don’t want to go back to that crazy time. I would wear a T-shirt with the Basecamp logo on it - that’s how excited I am about this app. If you have a business with 1 or more employees... get your credit card out right now. Don’t hesitate.

New to it but loving it so far
I just recently decided to give his a try. I run a small business and need to have an easier way to keep in touch with everyone since we are always doing so much. We never have time to have meetings to go over things since we are all wearing so many hats. So far this has worked great and I don’t believe we have scratched the surface of its capabilities. I only gave it a 4 since I am new to it and haven’t fully experienced things to feel I can rate it quite accurately but I will get back after a month of use and update with more info!

Waiting for years an update, and now you need a subscription!?
As a freelancer working for companies who use Basecamp, the most helpful tool is logging my time used on different task, you never were able to do that with Basecamp 2 or 1. Now they released version 3 and you need a subscription? Sorry, but I am not gonna buy it. Make a version for companies and make a version for just simple invited users. Cheers
