Pretty Dope
Not a replacement if you're coming from the PC version because working with the controls is slower, but it's good if you're away from your computer and are craving some good old CDDA. Better than 99% of apps on the market that cost money.Mosleyd166
Beats the pants off several paid apps
I am stunned by how deep this game is. The interface seems cryptic at first but it's solid and a little practice is all it takes.
Imagine starting the game as a drunk, depressed, infected celiac barbarian in a world of pizza shop animatronics, joke monsters, energy weapons and dinosaurs. All possible, m'friend, or you can be as traditional as you like. Love how points can be spent on traits, skills, stats, and professions, and taking flaws gets you extra points. Will be buying the sound pack to support the devs! Thanks for all the effort!
Update: if you get killed in a world, you can still play another character in that world and try to build on what progress has been made in a shelter. Love the interface. Just a few tips for beginners: the comma key is your friend, butcher all you can and try to craft with it, including non-animals, and be sure to wield any weapons you have at the start.Show lesslostproductivity
Greatest game on the App Store
I have to say I never knew such a complex amazing game existed while the game does throw a lot on new player(I've been playing for months and still can't live longer than 2 days) but I love the game nothing shows a better zombie apocalypse game like this defiantly at least try itRkoooooooooooooo
Holy heck
Cataclysm DDA is as open world as the AppStore is gonna get. You can be a cannibal, a cyborg or a psychotic martial arts master. The only con I see is the controls, as cataclysm DDA is a port of a PC game. But while cataclysm DDA is a well made game created by a great community, it is unforgiving and will chew you up and spit you back out. In conclusion, the only con to the game is the controls, besides that this deserves editors choice far more than clash Royale ever will IMHO.Show lessCoolStory375
Cumbersome Controls
Cataclysm: DDA is a great game, but the controls do not translate well to mobile. Be prepared to be constantly pulling up the keyboard or a huge list of commands for even the most basic tasks, like picking up an item or closing a door. I was excited to see that it was ported to iOS (and kudos to the dev for the attempt), but it's disappointingly a chore to play. Do yourself a favor and download the PC version.Show lessDuckAndCower
WHAAAT!!! Cataclysm DDA on my Phone!!!
There are so few REAL games on mobile. The cheap, short games that get high ratings are simplistic and for the most part clones of a few originals in the mobile genre. The few real games that slip by almost unnoticed get so little fanfare. Then out of pure luck I happen upon CDDA and I get a Chill!! There's just no way! I had no idea they ported it to mobile. Guys...this is True. Hardcore. Complex. DEEEEEP gaming. If you are old school you will remember these games. Cataclysm DDA will kick you in the balls, and eat you alive. And you will LOVE it. Don't give up. Every scenario you start you'll catch something new. Eventually you'll survive a day, then two, make a base, fortify a vehicle, craft an amazing set of armor pieces, cook a pie, grow weed (for real) and realize there's so much to this game. this game is the result of the shared effort of an open source community of highly skilled and educated people who have been refining this project for years. When I saw this was available on mobile device, it was like a dream come true. If you want fancy graphics there’s plenty of other trite for you, but if you want to stop being a little boy, and play a man’s game this is for you. Great game, good port
The game itself is amazing. You can become a half cyborg survivalist who eats people and tosses mini nukes at zombie hordes. And that's not even the craziest thing you will see.
The port is ok on iPhone, the controls are a pain but they are probably the best they could be. The game on PC uses the entire keyboard, so when I can I use my Bluetooth keyboard, but for the most part it's perfectly playable without it. And it's worth the effort.Show lessDan6780409
Great Roguelike
This game is so deep. The biggest quirk is the user interface. If a person can get past the UI, there is a great Roguelike with a lot of depth. On my adventures I have seen cameos from other games like left4dead.
