Not enjoyable anymore

This used to be fun app before, but now it is boring. i just dont have a choice that is why im still using it. Faces are so limited. so plain now.

Itโ€™s great when it works

I use this app for a few years now on my hybrid watch and was very happy with it. I lost my first watch and bought the hybrid watch again. For the last couple months it has been very unreliable. It is connected to my phone but often randomly just stops sending me notifications. Sometimes it helps to open the app manually and then I get all notifications at once, but it is a hassle. Another issue is that sometimes the time is wrong by more than two hours. Itโ€™s not the wrong time zone as the minutes are completely wrong as well. There is also an inconsistency in the music control. Sometimes the โ€œnext song โ€œ button changes to โ€œback to beginningโ€. Sometimes no option to skip a song. And again not always.
This is happening very randomly yet still often. I got quite used to my watch and started to rely on it but the time and notification issue messed up my day very often lately. This looks like a software/firmware issue to me.

Slow and glitchy app, not always accurate

I have to admit I got a fossil watch because I wanted a regular looking watch with the benefit of tracking steps mostly and sleep. It tracks steps mostly ok, sleep tracking can be really variable.

The app itself is very average though. Takes forever to sync with your watch, sometimes you have to force it to sync over and over again before it actually does it. I often have to force close the app and open it again to get it to work. It also seems to forget that you have slept or forget what steps you achieved-ie sleep shows in the morning but later in the day it says so sleep recorded. Step count may be a certain number in the evening before you go to bed but the next day when you check again it has taken sometimes up to 1000 steps off your pre-recorded step count

I have escalated this to support but the response is โ€˜make sure you let app is up to dateโ€™ or please provide screenshots with the discrepancies in the recorded sleep or step countโ€™ This is impossible as you donโ€™t know which day or moment the app will choose to alter this data.

Love the look of my watch but as a activity and sleep tracker with how bad the app is itโ€™s probably not worth it :/

App updates really need to fix bugs.

It seems with every update, which is few and far between, it gets worse. Never wants to connect with my watch. Constantly turning off the blue tooth, doing all the troubling shooting and nothing.

Changes for the Worse

I agree with pretty much every recent review here. The app used to be great in helping me track my steps, cals, and sleep.

Now, my sleep data is nonexistent. Steps get counted maybe 70% of the time. I could be wearing my watch the whole day and be really active that day, and the steps donโ€™t even get counted. Really frustrating :(

Please fix this!

Amazing App

After update itโ€™s Better now. Quick connect Easy to use.

Please Fix the UI and re-add functionality that was removed

I bought the watch and later learned how bad the update to V5 of the app turned out. I have been hoping that this company recognizes the feedback from their own users and re add functionality that was removed (such as ability to download watch faces created by other users) but the product team has failed in this regard. I wrote this review to add to the many others who have stated the downgrade this โ€œupdateโ€ truly is. Please product team, listen to your own users and provide a product we actually want. No one should purchase this product in its current state. Please learn from my mistake.

A good insight into my life

It has good features and helps me recognise whatโ€™s working well, or not, in my physical life. It has the occasional glitch when syncing and missing key data points such as sleeping time. The main thing about this app on this Fossil watch is that the battery life is a few days. Much much better that any Fitbit or Apple Watch

Good watch, the worst app

I can only view stats for one thing at a time. For example if I start the app and open my steps to see more details, then go back and open my heart rate to see more details, it wonโ€™t load. I have to restart the app to look at a different stat. Itโ€™s incredibly frustrating and time consuming.

Attractive watch with some good features

Had a Fossil smart watch a few years ago that wasnโ€™t great but looked vintage
This one looks great (not vintage but classy)
Compared with the other one the smart features are far better (showing messages from all systems including WhatsApp, news alerts, fitness tracking, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, etc.)
Battery life is great at around two weeks between charges)
