Works really well but needs a few things
This app is really good at what it does. However, I think it could use a bit of improvement by adding the following things.
1) faster processing/saving to Camera Roll time.
2) needs to remember the last speed selected--every time I open the app I have to adjust the speed because it's default is too fast for my projects. I'd love to see it stay where I had it last time I used the app.
3) (this is a big one) the app really should show the entire view the camera sees. When ever I use this app it shows a cropped version of what the video will eventually look like, forcing me to ALWAYS crop in post. This is extra work I should not need to do. The stock camera app defaults to this same thing but double tapping the screen causes the actual framing to appear (looks letterboxed) but this does not happen inside this Video Teleprompter app.

Frustrating – only works occasionally
I was so excited to get this app. But many times it didn't work or only worked intermittently and it got very frustrating. A couple of times it worked then when it didn't work I thought perhaps I just had too much on my phone but after deleting everything it still didn't work. Then sometimes it would. Then when I needed it most when I had a big audition that was due that I need to turn in it wouldn't work over and over. I was angry that I wasted $15 on this when I can't count on it to work when I need it.Show lessKatherine Norland

Hi Katherine... This is not normal for the app to behave in this way, but I believe there should be a very simple solution... What you describe sounds like your device doesn’t have enough storage space to save your video. We recommend having 3GB-4GB of storage space just to be extra safe! Also, remember that the Start/Stop button should be used to begin and end recording, the “REC” button should be enabled (red) at all times and should not be tapped. In any case, please use the “Help” button in the app and we can help you very quickly, it’s a much better way to solve any issues than posting a review. This works really well. I have now ordered a bracket to lift my iPad at the correct height and angle. Loses one star because of the poor/hard to find instructions.
Feature rquest for next version: ability to move the text away from the default camera place. It is where you'll get teh most natural look but sometimes another effect is required.

Great App
This app has not disappointed me. It's easy to use and does exactly what it says; gives you the ability to record while you read your script & the script is very easy to adjust the size & how far it comes across the screen.
I'm still trying to find out how to make a video so it looks like I'm looking directly at people rather than looking to one side. Trail & error I guess.
Of course because it's free, videos are labelled with the software name along the bottom, which is a little disappointing. I wished I'd have a least 5 advert free videos. That said, I'm almost certain I'll purchase the real one for my social media business use.Show lessCoach P J

One of the simplest to use the most fully functional Teleprompter apps I've seen. Wish it didn't have the watermark, but it's at the bottom and could be edited out. Probably worth buying.Leolan
RIP OFF - Beware!
I don't know how this app has so many good reviews but it was a complete waste of my time and money! I got the lite version first but I had to upgrade to be able to record video on my phone while using the teleprompter - it was very misleading because it said 'upgrade to record video' and then I upgraded and still wasn't able to record video - then it said I needed to upgrade again to record video which is totally dodgy & dishonest but I foolishly did it because I was in a rush to record something! Then, once I upgraded twice it didn't work properly - wouldn't record video landscape/horizontal - was only recording vertically. What a complete rip-off and waste of my time!Show lessLeeatb
Great app for iOS & recording to camera
I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about; you can save the videos.
Would like the option to save scripts within app & perhaps a +\- option for scroll speed rather than a slider.
Otherwise this app is the bees knees.nschom
