  • Crashing

For starters, as a paid service, this app should offer a better UI. Like for example, that pesky little RUN button is hiding in the bottom right corner… why?! It just doesn’t feel natural for it to be there.

But more importantly, what led me to write this review was that the app will crash after exactly 10 seconds from opening any one of the numbered modules, and it will crash in exactly 1 second after trying to relaunch the app.

I only just noticed this after completing the first two (free) modules, and the crash first occurred when I tried to load the third module listed.

  • Better than I was expecting

You gotta keep in mind that if you are just starting to learn coding or swift, you will have to google some stuff in order to complete some exercises. But this is what real programmers do anyways. It was a perfect way for me to refresh what I learned a couple months ago and some specific topics. I love that you learn by doing.

  • So far, really good

I am a college student who has been trying to teach myself coding for years. I was so tired of poor quality applications and programs that are either too complicated or too basic. I found myself often forgetting everything that I learned. This app on the other hand makes it very easy to learn Swift, an emerging language in the world of computer science. The interface is excellent and the instructions are very helpful. There are no annoying ads or anything and the lessons are all very thoughtful and helpful.

  • Absolutely fantastic app!!

This is incredible. As a blind person I had never found any app that could teach you so much for free and most of all, that could teach you with accessibility in mind. User interface friendliness is at the forefront and it has been clearly demonstrated. I will keep enjoying this course, which is excellent . Thank you for developing this

  • Cool Idea

Making an app for learning how to swift is nice, i was trying to find ways to learn this programming language so this app was well worth the $10 that i paid for it.

But, there is an issue with the app. When opening the app it tends to crash, alot. So i would love it if you guys could fix this issue immediately as i paid $10 for this app, i expect it to be worth $10.

  • App keeps crashing on iPhone please fix right away impossible to use

I think reviewed this review is pretty much self-explanatory I bought the program and I can’t use it on my iPhone because every three seconds it keeps crashing please fix it other than that this is by far the easiest app to learn swift on the only reason I get rid of that with you is hopefully to get the developers attention so that they can fix this issue love this app other than that I would give it a five star review and I would be more than happy to give it a five star review after tjis is fixed

  • Actually the Best App On the Market

I don’t write reviews, ever. In fact, I mostly gawk at those who do. However, today that changes. This is the only educational app that I feel is actually benefitting me. The elegant design and the easy-to-understand questions make you come back every time. The hints and the reviews make you want to push further and further.
Thank you so much for this app.

  • Simple step by step

Many decades ago when I was a kid I learned step by step to do print programs in dos. This is a similar style letting you read, watch, and do the coding in a safe working playground. It gives you text help if you input the language wrong and if that isn’t enough then you can watch the short video tutorials. When you reach the challenges you can always go back to earlier steps to get help without tutorials too. This is a great app for anyone who wants to make an app that doesn’t exist. Everything you will need can be learned here. Perfect for kids OR adults to get started!

  • Very accessible as blind user

I purchased all the courses and so far it is very accessible with VoiceOver screen reader However when the error prompt appears it reads out the error and reads the text “behind” the prompt. Other than it works so far! On the optional course now. As others have noted there are some issues when using BT keyboard. Pressing tab or enter does not activate the run button. It just adds a tab inside the edit field. Please fix those bugs when u can.

  • Hard to Follow at Times

I am completely new to Swift so I am using only the knowledge given in the app to navigate the lessons. It seems as if the learning comes after the question which can be frustrating. Quite often you have to ask for help after the question is posed instead of learning the concept then demonstrating your knowledge in the test your knowledge section. One question I was unable to complete or obtain any relevant course content to reference. No way to get the answer or an explanation of the technique. Hard to learn in that manner. Would like to see more options for examples or other useful information to complete quizzes. With the one noted exception, I do feel the app is overall useful in learning the coding for Swift.
