  • Best cross-stitch app

Brilliant app, highly addictive and love the patterns. There are only a couple of downfalls, you hardly get any cash for completing a pattern, and the packs are far too expensive unless you use real money to buy cash which I cannot afford to do. There could also be more free patterns available. Please reduce the amount you need for the packs and increase the amount you receive for finishing a pattern and this app will be perfect!

  • My cross stitch rating

I love this game but it takes forever to earn cash to get the next pack.
  • Enjoyable, but still glitchy.

I like this app but since upgrading to iPad OS 14 it takes at least three attempts to load the app after repeated crashes on opening. It eventually loads and works fine but may discourage many new users.

And by the way, since there’s still no sign of a fix for the image saving glitch, anyone wanting to save an image to share should take a screenshot and crop it.

Hi Ross, apologies for the trouble you're experiencing. Unfortunately this issue is present in recent versions of iOS and iPadOS released by Apple. We are hopeful that there may be a fix for this in newer iOS/iPadOS versions. We're also looking into other options for sharing should a fix not be made available. Thanks for your patience with this!
  • The best!

No other cross-stitch or coloring app comes close to this one. Absolutely perfect for anxiety sufferers. Time fly’s by. Before you know it you’re feeling relaxed and even drowsy. This app is easy to understand. No complications. You don’t have to buy new patterns with actual money as you earn cash with each completed pattern. I had no issues spending real money on this one though because it’s just so relaxing and satisfying. As you might guess, I love this app. I would hug it if I could. Lol.

  • Wish there were more options.

It’s a fun game with an easy to use interface. It’s one of the only cross-stitch games that is used horizontally which I love. The only issues I have is money is so hard to earn. They give you about 8 to start off with, I was able to buy a pack of 8, and upload some of my own pictures. But now I have no patterns available, so I can’t even play if I wanted to. I wish there were a higher payout, more free options and I wish they didn’t gouge you so much to make your own pattern, only to pay out as little as possible when you’re done. The patterns could use an upgrade too, they are all very grandma styled.

  • Can’t get past could not connect

Update still being told it’s a problem with Facebook Server even when I don’t connect via Facebook so still can’t play the game but still get the notifications about free puzzles so far it’s a useless app very disappointing!
I have noticed on both my Samsung Galaxy S9 and my Iphone 5 SE both up to date and both for the last month can’t log into Cross Stitch World however upon logging in it says this “Could not connect, there seems to be a temporary problem with our gaming server. Please check our Facebook Community Page for more information or try again later.” Says the exact same thing with using google or Apple play center so apparently this app doesn’t work anymore probably since FB updated their platform I no longer can play been going on for 1-2 months now...

  • Relaxing

Love this app, very relaxing and time just passes. You can’t stop once you start a pattern, but I must admit, I agree with everyone else. The packs are expensive for the amount of coins you earn. You seem to be forever saving for the packs. I do enjoy getting the free pattern, you don’t know what you will get. Really enjoy and love the patterns though

  • Great app 1 request

I had this app a long time ago on my iPhone and enjoyed it. When I was done with a picture it would play it back in the order I did it. I’m not sure if the phone app is deferent from the iPad app but it doesn’t appear you can play it as a video after you’re done on the iPad. This would be one of the main reasons I’d want to keep playing it. If it IS possible I certainly couldn’t find it. It asked if I wanted to send the vid to a friend and that was it. (Which doesn’t seem to work anyway)

Also something cool would be to save the videos each time you do the same picture. To see it played in different ways.

Otherwise I really like the app. Totally 6 stars if it plays back.

    —-

UDATE: I’m now giving it one star.. after contacting them about how it use to play it back and it appears you can’t now, they simply suggested I play a different game.

And I don’t know why it says I can send a video to a friend cuz that doesn’t appear to work at all. And why (if that’s did work) wouldn’t I be able to play it for myself?

I made a simple suggestion that I would give it max stars for and they pretty much said sry were not gonna so that just play a different game. Really poor customer service. And I’m gonna let them know now, don’t bother and reply to me because I’m just gonna play another game as suggested.

Hi Urtinyfriend, you may enjoy our sister app, Pixel Tap: Color by Number, which plays back a video of the pixels you placed when you finish a pattern (and has a cross-stitch option as well as some other designs!).
  • Colourful relaxation

I love this app. It’s great to use when you really don’t want to think and just relax when life gets too hectic. I haven’t done any real life cross stitch for a few years and I have really missed it. This app has reignited my love of cross stitch, but without the pin pricks and tangling threads.
I only have one quibble. I would like to be able to save my progress when playing offline. The same thing happens in Tile Twist too. Can this be fixed please?

Hi, the save button in the game saves your progress to your account, which is why the feature doesn't work offline. However, the game will also try to save your progress regularly to your device itself. This is not guaranteed to work every time as it can be affected by available space and other settings, but in most cases this means you're able to stop playing and come back later whilst offline, and your progress should be saved - we'd recommend giving this a go with just a few stitches at first to check if it seems to be working on your device, and still always use the save button if you are able to get online. We hope this helps!
