  • Update: Fixed! Paid for Yearly Subscription but not recognized in app

Update: the latest app update fixed the subscription issues! The app is great!

I’ve tried support tickets, emails, but I’m still waiting for some help. Problem started a week ago. No matter what I do, I can get it to work. Someone please help. The app is great!
  • Dead end

Work like a charm until trial end. Then “subscribe to premium” pop up and whatever you do, you can’t get rid of it. Subscribed for premium for one month, then for a whole year and it make no difference. They took the money, but still want me to subscribe and wont allowed to continue. Customer support do not exist. Call to apple and request refund is only option left. Clever idea, terrible implementation.

  • It does a great job but some work has to be done.

First of all its a great app period and deserves five star.

Update: just did jump rope. Its put me in rest even if i stop for a second or two. Its really frustrating.

Update 2: Sorry i have to cancel subscription its not working. I was thrilled at first. But it needs some work. Suggestion infuse some manual readings with machine learning instead of whole machine learning.

    But it needs some work.

Guided voice commands dont work with music playback thats a must.
Cardio data is little different then any other strenght exercises. Eg. When i run i need to know how many miles i ran. With which speed i ran. What was my intensity chart during this run.
Rep count can be made more accurate but i am still happy what its doing right now.. The problem happens if i stopped in between. Cure is just count rest period in background. Dont show it on apple watch and keep the rep count where i stopped or i will go mannually to next set and if i started rep should be counted as i exercise for that particular set.
Syncing data with activity app when i am running or doing elliptical. Data should be synced as a running or elliptical not stregnth training. I am not using cardio option on watch i add cardio in workout routine. Like warm up and cool down and normal cardio day.
Ui:- it can be make better and data can be shown in beautiful and understandable way it collects.

  • The app is just ok

The app has roughly 20 pre installed workout routines. You can create a routine yourself, but it’s a bit of a pain. There was once instructional videos that showed you how to perform each exercise, but the website the app link to is now requiring a membership to see those videos that were once free to watch. The watch app does an ok job and keeping track of your reps and will occasionally switch sets without user input once you have completed your reps. Normally you have to tap the watch to switch sets. The watches count is also off a little. If I’m doing 20 reps I usually hit 21 or 22 before it lets me know that I hit 20, and that’s with exercises that it has “learned” my movements for. So, is this the best weightlifting app... probably not. There is definitely room for improvement.

  • Do NOT download this app. They don’t honor anything

“You have unexpired premium membership” that’s what my account is because when I bought it it wasn’t subscription based. Now, they want to charge to see the instructional videos. It is complete B.S. that they made me pay for something and now it is like oh wait, now you have to pay again monthly for the same stuff you already paid for for life membership. It is dishonest and I am filing a complain with Apple and the FTC regardless if it might be a waste of time and they don’t do anything about it. I just think I feel morally obligated to report these actions.

  • Seems promising

Haven’t used it in the gym yet, today will be my first. One thing I can’t figure out is how to get voice feedback to play through bt headphones while music is playing. As soon as I start music the voice plays through my watch. This would be a great feature to have. Will update my review after first workout

  • Good days and bad days

This app has the potential to be the greatest thing to happen the gym!!!!

Most of my exercises are tracked nearly perfectly when I use the app on my watch.

However, once in a blue moon, the app will have a bad day. It will jump to the next exercise 3 reps into a set. This is frustrating during some exercises like squats. The app will let “undo” if it moves ahead on its own. But you only have 3 seconds to tap that little button. That is not happening weighted out under the bar.

If you do not catch it in time. There is no going back or fixing it live in then app. If you go to hit undo, and you are just a hair late, you have now just hit the finished exercise area on the watch. So you just skipped two sets. The second mistake can be “undone”. But the first is now uneditable.

You can select to move ahead with a different exercise, but you can not select which set #. So if it skips set two of a particular lift, or thinks it detects a different exercise, and you try to go back to the original lift, but you cannot tell it which set you want to do. It will automatically start you at set 3.

Until the AI of the program is better I think the user should have an option to let the use manually Mark when each exercise is finished. And can we get a permanent undo button located away from the finished set area?

  • The best workout tracker hands down

I’ve been using this app since day one and still do so every day even years later. I’ve even tried others over the years and nothing else is even close. My only complaint is that it hasn’t improved much over the years. Although that’s just a testament as to how good this app really is.

With that in mind, I’d like to make some suggestions for improvement:
    - Combine pre-existing workouts so I can, for example, alternate between parts of an ab workout with a chest workout and not have to sort through all of my exercises as I would in a “free form” workout.
    - The ability to superset multiple exercises from a workout on the fly.
    - Either / or options for workouts. That way I can have several choices within a workout especially in a busy gym where preferred equipment may be unavailable.
    - Multiple levels of categorizing for exercises.
    - Metadata support for custom exercises
    - Support for external / multiple BLE accelerometers to better identify and track exercises. These devices are cheap and easy to obtain, plus they could even sell them.
    - the ability for watch and phone to work together while a workout is in progress.

In spite of these suggestions don’t get me wrong this is hands down the best workout tracking app on any platform.

  • Great App for Weight Training

Finally, an app tailored for weight training that is easy to use and syncs seamlessly between IPhone and Apple Watch. I’ve tried half a dozen other apps which left a lot to be desired. Customizing workouts with Gymatic is easy and fast. My hat is off to the builders who obviously know what they’re doing.

  • I tried desperately... but it actually HINDERED MY WORKOUT

I was, until 1 minute ago— our if frustration, just canceled premium.

Maybe in some distant future this app will work but the “auto-dect” is crazy. It’s is accurate maybe 15% the other 85% I was deleting erroneous sets that came from nowhere, many times, I was just standing.

The settings don’t work properly either... ie; I “turned off auto detect” to “promote to learn” it still auto detected. The interface is very complicated as well, I am not a genius but I have created small office networks so I know technology OK and this was for me, very “unintuitive.”
