Nearly unusable

A total mess. I can’t see what I spent, or on what. The credit card interface has been broken for years. There’s a ton of useless chrome and junk in the UI and it’s nearly impossible to find anything. And 2/3 of the app is in a language that I don’t speak. It barely functions as a banking app.

Mediocre at best

Compared to all other banking app DB is so clunky. Most information is static in pdf, no real time information. No verifying purchases. I don’t know why they keep using the weird phototan for verification instead of just verify with sms or email, you can’t customize your pins. Just an outdated, useless app.
Hire some good designers, maybe with experience in banking apps.
Look at bank of America!!
I was abroad and I bought a new phone so I couldn’t access the app without my printed phototan!!Wake up DB it’s 2024!

Used to be ok, now just waste of time

Recently, the app thought it was a good idea to delete all saved information at random intervals. This includes saved payees, account info etc. There just isn’t any reasonable security excuse to be made here. No. This is purely just an annoying bug or someone from IT trying to invent issues to keep their job.

Erases login information regularly

I really hate this app sometimes. It has some good features (the photo transfer feature OCR works ridiculously well), but the stupid thing frequently forgets my login information. When this happens, I have to go to my password manager and manually copy over my branch number, account number, sub-account number, and pin since the login fields aren't recognized by the password manager. The login fields don't allow pasting, and if you make a mistake in your account number and try to correct it after a failed login, hitting backspace deletes the entire account number so you have to start over from memory (which just failed you). Why oh why does this stupid app keep forgetting my login details???

Honestly love the bank and the app . All the people are nice and cool and I’ve never had direct issues with the app or people working there

Still the worst banking app ever

I really dislike this app; it is not user friendly whatsoever and not compatible / iPad friendly (it’s not filling out the entire display space nor can you turn the screen). I mean, why is there a video on YouTube explaining how to do a bank transfer with your banking app - shouldn’t this be intuitive? I am banking with other banks and using other banking apps too which are all way more user friendly. It’s seems like the Deutsche Bank wanted to create an über-fancy app but failed in doing so. I also find the photo tan procedure overly complicated and not user friendly at all. Let’s not talk about the set up process; how am I supposed to scan a QR code generated with the device I am using for payments? It does not make any sense whatsoever!

Access Failure

I am having issue with online banking to transfer money. It is giving error of TAN even I haven’t reached to that part. I contacted Kundenservice, I was told to close and open again the app. Really? The old version was much smoother! Hoping for sooner bug fixes!

Money transfer

Transferring funds is extremely complicated. One needs two devices and you need to be fairly computer literate to complete and go through the process. In contrast to US and UK online banking it’s far too complex.
